I dont think Tyron Smith makes it back. Need to move on instead of watching Prescott run for his life or get killed on 3rd and long.Marco Wilson will have a lot of work ahead of him to make a fanbase excited about him. That show throw was atrocious lol. I like your draft a lot positionally round 2 on, but I can’t live with taking a lineman in round 1. Unless Tyron or La’el have an offseason injury, we’d be drafting a backup in round 1 with all those holes on defense.
I really don’t like spending a first in an offseason with so many defensive holes on what will effectively be a backup who based on the contracts of those ahead of him could be a backup for 2/3 seasons.
I think those 2 third round picks are a good time to start looking for a young swing to develop, though I’d be fine going into next season with Knight, Erving (or other vet), and Steele.
Thanks!!love those 1st 7.
that'd be a helluva group to bring in.
7- Teton Saltes OT New Mexico #50 RT
7- Sam Webb CB Missouri Western

You are welcome.Thank you for all your work. I really appreciate it.![]()
I see the wishful thinking there but if we are putting a mock together with the most realistic possibilities (which I assume you are), you cannot honestly think the team will part ways with a guy who A) has the contract he has, B) Is a stud when he plays (not sure where the Prescott running for his life thing is about, LT has never been an issue when Tron plays, he’s a HOFer), and C) By all accounts had a procedure that put his stinger issue to bed.I dont think Tyron Smith makes it back. Need to move on instead of watching Prescott run for his life or get killed on 3rd and long.
Lael Collins is also iffy if he is going to be the same player. Terrance Steele, Brandon Knight, Issiac Alarcon, Teton Saltes. Become valuable reserves playing OG or OT.
Tyron has not played a full season since 2016. It's not just Tyron's neck that is an issue. It's his back that has caused more problems. He has had also his knee and hip also, but the back is critical. He is 31 next season. I saw this coming last year and want to develop a quality backup because I keep seeing him injured.I see the wishful thinking there but if we are putting a mock together with the most realistic possibilities (which I assume you are), you cannot honestly think the team will part ways with a guy who A) has the contract he has, B) Is a stud when he plays (not sure where the Prescott running for his life thing is about, LT has never been an issue when Tron plays, he’s a HOFer), and C) By all accounts had a procedure that put his stinger issue to bed.
So as of right now he’s healthy and on track to start the offseason the same as anyone else, not sure why you think this organization of all will make this type move. It’s simply highly unlikely to see Tyron moved in the next two seasons when looking at all the facts.
I’m not sure why people are just assuming La’el is done lol, we have 0 idea but I’m going to bet that a 26-27 year old T will be playing next season. If the FO is saying he should be good to go, we have no contrary evidence to suggest he won’t be able to.
Knight is already capable of being a swing T which is what Leatherwood would be barring additional injury. Now if your wish is to move on from Tyron and La’el sure this draft is perfect. But in reality those guys names are written in black sharpie at the top of their respective position depth charts. Nothing outside of a catastrophe is changing that.
So you think Tyron will retire? It’s possible. We need defensive players at all three levels. The backup offensive linemen have been playing well since the Thanksgiving game.I dont think Tyron Smith makes it back. Yes ,we have ten draft picks. 1st solid Left Tackle then load up on defense.. very strong secondary class. We can find starters in the 3rd round who are not far apart than the top tier CBs. I like Brandon Knight and Terrance Steele and would like to see Issiac Alarcon can develop. I do think Knight is solid but not top notch. He actually could start at OG . Steele needs about 2 more years in work.. So just get Leatherwood if top stars are gone. Now if someone slides like Kyle Pitts I would grab him. The slider I think will be Greg Rousseau. I dont believe he is fast as the other pass rushers and he needs to develop some pass rush moves otherwise it's like drafting Ebenezer EkubanSo you think Tyron will retire? It’s possible.
