Thats exactly what I dont understand....everyone wants the OL coaches ran out of town, but talk up how well these interior guys have developed as middle round and UDFA guys. It really makes no sense to me.
Well the issue is what are our highly invested guys doing? Steele, Guyton, Martin, Tyler Smith....these guys all have seemed to regress.

As crazy as it sounds...it seems like its easier for coaches to get more out of guys you expect nothing from because the expecations are so low. Maranelli was the king of that. Get a lot out of guys like George Selvie types but not the highly invested guys.

Is that a coaching issue or an issue in who we are selecting to invest in though? I can see both sides of that argument and the answer is realistically somewhere in the middle but Steele was a Jerry special injury investment....who honestly I dont think was nearly as bad as the season went on. Guyton IMO just looks like a bust. Martin probably needs to hang it up unless his injury issues are way worse than we know about. Not sure I would add Tyler Smith to that list.

I mean truthfully I don't think we know. Maybe its the guys who we invested in....but what we do know is the coaches are gonna be scapegoated if the players don't perform to what they believe their potential is.

I say Tyler Smith because the guy was a All Pro last year which means he was one of the best guards in the league. Would anyone say that about him this year? He's not bad but I think mostly we expected him to upgrade from last season.

The Dallas Cowboys' offense ranks as follows for 2024:

Points per game: 21st, averaging 20.7 points per game
Total yards per game: 18th, averaging 324.3 yards per game
Passing yards per game: 11th, averaging 227.1 yards per game
Rushing yards per game: 27th, averaging 97.2 yards per game
Time of possession per game: 28th, averaging 28:47 per game

Offense looks stagnant. No innovation at all. He appears to be just another average coach who for to this level due to nepotism.
1000% agree!

Schottenheimer should be the first fired.

Schottenheimer and Solari were brought in to create a power run game. What they actually brought was a ridiculous blocking scheme that slowed everything down like it was the 1970's 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

I think the McCarthy has some positives as a coach but picking his assistants is NOT one of them.
I wonder if these are true McCarthy coaching decisions, if so he should def be out of here with them lol

Yeah but the talent also is mediocre too. I don't think much of him as a coach but I wouldn't expect any coach to have a top offense with this group.

Nope....we runnin it back

The "All In" comments for 2025 should be flowing very soon
Well, everything is set up for a more successful 2025 since the bar was lowered so far. So, next we can hear about how MM turned a 7 win team into an 10 win team and call it an accomplishment that gives us confidence heading into 2026.

Solari has lived on reputation. Should of been fired a year ago. Sheesh, don't get the love.

Years ago? This is only year 2 in Dallas. Granted I dont think all these guys were deserving but in 2023 he coached an OL that saw three players named to the All Pro team, and another that left in free agency to get top 5 money at the Center position. His resume in Dallas is pretty good and now we are seeing reason for optimism out of multiple mid round and project players in Bass, Hoffman, and even Richards to a lesser extent. I just dont understand the hate for the guy outside of its simply easier to blame position coaches. Ultimately I think the Cowboys have more of a talent issue than they do a coaching issue on offense.

I believe I didn't use a plural. We will have to disagree on this one coach. I think he may have adjusted his scheme this season at some point but I am not sure. I know rookies take time unless a pedigree first rounder drops to you but even then it can be tough. I know this line has under performed thus far. I remember Marc Columbo coming in mid season and the line improved noticeably. I get it we both only want what is best for our team we just see it differently.

Martin has a bad leg.
