I was looking for my Sharps with thermal imaging...

but for a sniper weapon:

Christensen Arms Modern Precision
  • Caliber: 300 Norma Magnum

You know, to pick off that tresspaser coming onto your land to plunder game...or bring war to your property.:)

I was at Super Walmart getting materials for bacon wrapped chicken breasts when I came across a Police Sergeant with weapon getting a last minute item. I loudly stated that I was proud of his service. He stopped and without further hesitation stated, (twice), and nothing held back - loudly: 'Proud to provide it...proud to provide it.' Looking me directly in the eyes. (I was wearing my Veteran's hat)

This is only year one and his leadership has been exactly what to this point? We have yet to see production all the way through December and through January. He replaces Lawrence at the head already? I don't think so....sacks, that role develops first.
I never said he should replace Lawrence. I didn't even say he should be saddled with the burden of leadership. I'm just making counterpoints to the bad arguments against it. Summing up his performance as "a couple of flashes" is a really bad argument.

The above indicates ears were shut on the applied meaning of leadership. He is a pup added to the pack...nothing more than a contributing member.

Oh, it takes talent to run with the pack of aggressive players. But it takes team players to become a pack leader. The pack itself will adjust to the killer instincts over time, not with just speed or sharp teeth. That takes time and not just rah...rah's from the side lines and the stands.

He is a rookie and may not feel comfortable in a locker room full of vets.

McC and Quinn don't need to see if he is a leader as much as how many followers of toughness they have on this team.

There is no team in any sports that has players arrive before they have arrived like the Dallas Cowboys and I believe that has been their biggest obstacle because this owner/GM actually fosters that notion. You are a Cowboy, you are special because you are mine and I am special.

How much more of this underachieving do we need to see?
I do not believe Parsons buys into the "I am special" mindset. He just wants to win. A true competitor. A beast of a man with a unique skill set and physical gifts. Today... I want him hunting the QB. He will continue to evolve as a LB.

Well first, as has been stated multiple times in this thread, it's a pride, not a pack. Don't talk to me about "ears being shut".

Second, it seems like you didn't even read the post you're quoting. It seems like you're just trying to come up with an eloquent way of stating something meaningless.

Probably will see him take more of a leadership role next season. But he should start in the playoffs this season.
He is getting there.
Where have you been . . . Micah became the leader of this team when he upstaged "Side Show" Jerry in his initial press conference

Who do you believe is the leader of this team? . . . Throw em' under the Bus Dak:lmao2::lmao2::lmao:

Micah is the unquestioned leader of the team.. . and not only is Dak not the or even a leader. . . . He has got one foot out the door (PUN intended) . . .

In Micah's locker room everyone is accountable for their play on the field.

If this Dak implosion continues to the end of the year . . . Micah wont be having it next year.

With that type of ego stretched hot air, one could as well describe a fart as 'fresh air.'

This is a professional team, not BMOC popularity.

I called it as soon as I watched this live. . .

I was flabbergasted after that contract with "THE RIGHT KIND OF Guy" Dak. . but then we drafted Mr. Parsons and then I got to know him through this interview . . . and it was a wrap My hope was renewed with this team.

Finally a Real Dog with charisma and Persona

A leader . . not some polished dog ****

This team needs a leader besides the usual QB leader and that leader needs to be blue collar tough and no nonsense, no star status or silly names, just do your job hard-nosed slobber knocking football.

Tough for a rookie to take over, especially on a media darling like the Cowboys, but I do not see another player on the defense better equipped to do this.

The offense needs more of a blue collar attitude and that's what Haley brought to the team. He was crazier than a cat in a room full of rocking chairs but on the field, he brought it with fire. And he was a leader on that field.

Micah Parsons doesn't aspire to be a great football player, he wants to be the greatest. He recognizes that trait in himself and maybe he can lead others up that hill, instill the blue collar mental toughness that is in the defense.

It's true, he is a physical freak of nature but he is more than just that. He's had special written all over him since his freshman year at Penn State when he set the freshman tackle record and then led the team in tackles the next season.......starting one game! He was used situationally and did that at Linebacker U? There is more to this player in potential that needs to be tapped.

McC and Quinn, and maybe even get the Joneses involved since they probably can't avoid that, need to talk to him and ask him to step up to lead the team in toughness. They could sure use it.
I considered Lee a leader for a while. Did his job and was the general for the Defense. But Parsons is a different beast. Lee was smart and had a good understanding of the game and the players but Parsons is a game wrecking beast that teams need to know where he is at all times. And the other players feed off of that. He energizes the team.

Oh man, if we could have had a healthy Lee alongside Parsons...sigh.
