If Murray can't go, maybe playing another back this week ends up saving us a big bag of money in the offseason. Putting some tape of another back getting 30 carries out there either makes an argument that the OL is the force behind the running game and suppresses Murray's contract value a little bit, or we gain a little confidence in his possible replacement.

Boatwright, we hardly knew ya.'

As long as Weeden doesn't play at Running Back we will be fine.

I think a lot of what matters in this situation comes down to Linehan.

How he calls the plays for the sub's and when.

Picking from Williams, Dunbar and Randle and what plays they do well is critical.

One of the biggest things Murray does really well is his pass catching.

And Romo looks for that a lot.

Can those guys get in a groove and roll along ?

I think absolutely.

With this OL?

Yep.

And if one guy gets hot..you feed him the ball.

Now..

I'm not happy about Murray's injury.

As TO would say..

'Love me some DeMarco'

But I think all of us thought it highly probable Murray couldn't finish a season without some kind of injury.

So here we go possibly.

Me?

I look on the brightside and say..

FINALLY we get to get a glimpse at life without Murray in our offense.

We need to know what the backups can do next year if Murray doesn't re-sign.

Sorry..

That's just me.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Comments welcome.

Oh yeah..awesome game last night,boys.

How would Dunbar and Randle have done with Murray's workload? If this coming weekend was a playoff game...chances are likely that Murray could play if it is just an issue of pain management.

Right.

If the chance of further injury is reduced and its just a pain killer to be functional.

then he should be OK.

But his snaps will be limited for sure.

And when and where he goes into the game will matter tons.

I could see him being a decoy more this week with playfakes and such..
