for the Cowboys to play like a team that can win in the playoffs. Using Garrett's most used words - they must execute in all 3 phases. After 10 days off, this team can't come out looking flat.

I know we aren't Green Bay right now. But we can learn from them.

execute in all 3 phases. on a day to day basis and week to week basis....thats all that generic robot ever says

We have. Finding ways to win when things aren't going right is what playoff teams do.

you know what he means.

i understand your thinking as well...a win is a win.

but this team has had to many mistakes the past few weeks. we are not good enough to keep getting away with that vs. better teams.

too many penalties....

bad kickoff coverage...

miscommunication btw romo and the receivers...

giving up big plays on defense...

there are plenty of things this team should have worked on in these 10 days.

I agree.

Games are won in the 4th quareter of those games.

Divisions are won, and playoff births are established in the 4th quarter of the season. Simply put, December games need to be played like the 4th quarter of games need to be played.

The Cowboys have done nothin unordinary in November. They won with authority, but they always do that in November. What would be out of ordinary for this team is if they play this December like they play in November.

If they do that and make the playoofs then I'll call them serios playoff contenders and will have all expectations of them to win the Super Bowl.

But if they put-put their way thruogh December - which is ordinary for this team - and make the playoofs then I'll be simply happy that they made it and have no other expectation of them winning beyond that.

Bottom line, if this team wants to be a serious Super Bowl contender, they msut raise their game starting now and keep raising it higher and higher with each passing game from this moment on. Physically they're healthy, but are they healthy mentally? I ask because mental-toughnessis is what it will take from here on out for them to continuously raise their game moving forward.

Time will tell!

It wasn't that long ago when Dallas blew out the Bills. That game was not close. Let's not act as if the Cowboys have been playing poorly for months.

How eloquent. I agree that this franchise has made the "playoofs" the last 15 years.

We must stack one good play on top of another....

Yes, and if we do that, we can get a stack of wins unless the stack of wins gets to big of a stack, then it's time to focus and believe that the stack of wins does not get to big.

Let's see. Last year the Cowboys were 2-2 in November and 3-2 after. The year before, they were 4-1 in November and 3-2 after. Not a lot of difference.

And what about the possibility that they're the team we've seen so far - good, bordering on very good, but not really a Super Bowl contender? Can't they just be that without being mentally weak?

Would love to see execution in all 3 phases but would take an offense that fires on 8 cylinders if i had to pick just one!!

Oh stop it! It's surely more fun to ***** and moan about playing the games that just happen to be on our schedule and winning most of them.

If you stack too many wins together, then you get more than 3 phases, you get 4 or 5 phases and thats not good, you want to have 3 phases.
