Garrett got it right today.
3rd and 10 from the giants 28 .
I expected a plunge into the line for 2 yds leaving a long kick in bad conditions.
Instead a completion to bease for a big gain and then two kneel downs to drain the clock for mr automatic dan bailey.
Good to see for a change....

I was yelling at my computer..."Don't play not to lose!" I liked the sequence at the end. We stayed aggressive yet called some smart plays. Thank God it was not that 1 yard crossing route to Witten that doesn't get the first down. If I see that play on 3rd and long again, I'm gonna puke.

Yep that or a false start or sack.
Also Beasley turned Thomas inside out with his move off the LOS and tony delivered

Beasley made Rolle look stupid on that route. And, credit to the OL. The Giants were in a blitz and Romo had all day.

I was in shock about that whole sequence at the end of the game....we looked like we knew exactly what we were doing. IT CAN BE DONE FOLKS!!!! Just wish we could be more consistent with it. Beasley was money there too by the way. Just a huge catch.

Absolutely! Was also impressed with the play calling overall. I haven't said that since the Denver game! The offense seemed to mix it up more than they have since that game. Definitely more running and seemed to be more play action. Several seam routes, slants and drag routes. Still threw the comebacks but not to the exclusion of routes that enable RAC like they seem to have done over the last few games. Other than the penalties (which were atrocious on both teams) and the mental gaffes (Carter & Heath !!!!!!), I was fairly happy with the effort put forth today. I actually approve of Callahan's and Garrett's play calling and decision making today. Where has this been?

Gosh, that feels strange to say, but I will give credit when it is due - unlike what the Garrett apologists believe. I just hope it continues and this wasn't a complete one-time aberration.

Today was a perfect example of how an offense should close games. They burned a nice deal of time off the clock, scored and didn't give the giants the ball back. Excellent ending series.

Ha. I actually thought it was number 20, Amukamara. But the Giants fans are complaining about how we basically just threw at Rolle the whole last drive, so maybe it was him. 26 can look like 20 easily.

But yeah, I liked the way he ran that route... just kind of jockeying a bit and faking/cutting really hard.

Back to the OP, I agree completely. I bagged on this coaching staff hard for the way they ended the Detroit game.Thought their philosophy was perfect this time. I was nervous, but they had the right mindset and they executed well.

So it can be done. Of course, it was against a team that was 0-6 at one point, but still nice to see these guys can, in fact, run a 4 minute offense.

I'm only going from an Aikman comment after the play. He said it was Rolle.

Stupid Giants fans. Why wouldn't we throw at a safety trying to cover a slot receiver? Duh! The Giant fans ought to be complaining about JPP. :)

That was a totally ballsy call. So was the pervious play to dez that was ruled a drop. I have to admit I was calling for 3 straight runs and it would have been safe but a longer kick plus left time on clock. Great job play calling at the end. By the way, Beasley moves on that play put antre rolle on the turf. Any one else see role fall down when Beasley faked inside ?

I'm a believer of play for the TD and ask your defense to go out there and get a stop. They did this the Lions game and it bit them in the behind. Garrett and the offense called a GREAT game today. The players on offense stopped this offense from putting up more points. Wasn't the playcalling today.
