I've been waiting a while to post this hoping things would turn around here but the problem is obvious and it's all on Jason Garrett. Not on Wade Phillps. Not on our defense. Not on Tony Romo. Etc. Let me explian.

This all started way back when we had our 13-3 season. For 90 percent of that season we had multiple formations, multiple play selection, our run plays were out of the spread and we were scoring 30 plus a game. Remember the GBay game when we moved TO all over the field and we dominated them. All of sudden the playoffs come and we come out running 2TE, 1Wr, and 2 RB for most of the game when the Giants had a depleted secondary. We were getting yards(I think we had like 150 rushing) but we weren't getting enough points to win(17.) When we use that formation so often there's more chance of a false start, a hold, hands to the face and you have to be perfect for almost 10-14 plays to score a touchdown. Every person in football knows that does not fit our offensive line. We end up getting 3 first downs and then we get a false start and screws the whole drive up and it happen throughout that game.

Coming into the 08 season we have Felix Jones who is a special back. When we played the Commanders he didn't even get on the field. Let me bring to your attention the Titans situation. They drafted a back similar to Felix in Chris Johnson and they already had an established back in Lendale White. Jeff Fisher stuns everyone and makes Johnson the featured back out of the preseason. The rest is well, you know. If Garrett was coaching the Titans Johnson would only get 10-12 touches a game. Im not saying Felix is Johnson but give him 20-25 carries a game and lets see. There similar backs. You see my point.

Fast forward to this season. We are back to running the 1wr, 2Te, 2rb sets. When we played the Commanders we ran in that formation all game for the most part. We had like 220 rushing yards but 59 minutes of shut out football. In today's game we ran out of that formation alot and Miles Austin didn't see the field on a consistent basis until late in the second half. Roy Williams was the single reciever mostly and I dont even think Crayton saw the field in the first 3 quarters as wr. Take that late td away when we had to open it up and we scored 10 points and Miles wasn't given much of a chance. I know we threw the ball last week like 50 plus times but many of those passes came out of that formation in the first 3 quarters. It just does not give us points.

Jason Garrett is not a good coach. Hes trying to build our team into something were not. Marion Barber is a battering ram you can not run him more than 10x a game. Hes just not a home run guy. Tashard Choice reminds me of Ray Rice but he can't see the field because we want to run the Nebraska 80's run offense with Barber(jk). Our team is best in the spread and ill say it over and over again. Look at the best teams in the league.

Indy= Are they known for their running game? There a spread passing offense

Saints= duh 5000 yards enough said

Min= They were horrible on offense last few seasons and now they throw the ball all over the place with Favre to Rice, Harvin etc. They couldnt win with the best rb in football, that shows you right there.

Chargers= They run the ball some but they dont run for many yards. Phillp Rivers has a passing machine for an offense.

Etc and were running the 2te,1Wr,2rb for 60 percent of the game. That is so old fashion and is proven not to win today. Just look at us. Pittsburgh had to change their offense last season from a running base offense to a passing one and they won the Superbowl. How can you forget the Cardinals too.

You see my point, opinions

I dont know about you guys, but if my Texas T-Bone isnt cooked the way I like it I send it back to the kitchen. I generally drink a MGD and just wait for it to come out cooked right.

The main problem I see is how the Cowboys have failed in the redzone. And by redzone, I mean from 10 yards or less. They get great yardage but time and time again fail to score touchdowns and now they have Folk missing everything so that takes your opportunity for 3 points off the table too.
The penalties have been a problem for years, is there no way to tighten that up when so many other teams do? Those have killed many drives.

I 100% agree. If we don't clean out the coaching staff this year and end up keeping Wade I hope we at least get rid of Garrett.

Have you watched our Defense? You could say that they stopped the bolts the majority of the game BUT..........

The D let them run off 7 minutes of the 4th quarter and score 10 points. All Romo and the O could do is stand and watch the defense give up 3rd down after 3rd down yards :bang2:

I agree GArrett doesnt know what He's doing. We dont have a potent offense under this guy. He's making us march down the field and be perfect.

Fl, I think giving up only 20 to the Chargers many people would call that either a draw or a win for us. The Chargers have a potent offense and top 3 or 4 in the league.

The problem with this defense isn't it's body of work as a whole. It's late collapses and giving up points at the end of every half.

Doesn't that go back to coaching? A team takes on the personality of its coaches and let's face Wade & Garrett aren't exactly killers. Just asking the question.

Wait..

I thought Garrett was a moron because he didn't run enough and called to many shotgun plays.

Now, its Garrett calls too many run plays and the boys are really a passing team?

Man..

this is hard to keep up with.

Garrett im sure is getting called out within the organization because I think a lot of the coaches feel like their job is in jeopardy because of him

The guy just doesn't use enough deception plays. He is to predictable and he hardly ever capitalizes off of that predictability.

I think it's more a reflection of the leaders on the field. Nobody ever steps up on defense, from Ware right on down.

I said it yesterday.....win or lose, I am letting #9 do his thing. Romo is getting blamed anyway, so Romo and Garrett might as well let it loose.

CATCH17, I'm not letting you go bonkers on us. Keep the faith, man. There's time in the off-season to throw stuff against the wall.

One win on Sat and we're right back where we want to be: a winnable game in WAS and PHI coming back for a redux and a chance for vindication. You can't write a script better than that.

When u lose the element of surprise you lose the edge. Ask anybody in the military about launching an offensive...
