As OTAs wrap up and that final stretch of waiting until training camp arrives, I feel certain parts of my being puckering up and holding its breath.

These are the dark days of the NFL nigh upon us. When chicanery and tomfoolery preside over common sense, and the police blotters light up like a casino. If we could just eliminate mid-June and early July from the calendar, half of the NFL suspensions would never be.

It's an unfortunate and growing tradition. Droves of NFL players jump on planes headed for Vegas, or go into super heavy party mode before they set off for duty in late July. It's seems to ramp up every year, each guy trying to out-do the other, or worse yet, combining multiple parties for week-long binges into youthful melee. Invariably, bad decisions are made, and Goodell's desk starts to get messy.

Hopefully, none of our boys will fall for any of the forbidden fruit. This team simply can't afford stupidity right now.

Then, come training camp, we get to hold our breath again. That's when the injuries start to mount.

(Sigh) I gotta find a different hobby.

Thanks for the curse. Lol, this is worse than making the Madden cover.

Oh man i agree...i hope there was a good team meeting by the vets to make sure to everyone "be cool" this next month we dont need casualties...but for me...what i fear is TC..injuries...fortunately we got through OTA's without any major ones....and I know we cannot play scared because for many reasons that wont work...but Dallas for the most part was pretty healthy last season...i am worried about our offensive line staying healthy...last year there were teams that lost their offensive line to injury and went down the tube...seahawks and vikes and chargers i think...Can we make it out of TC without major injury????...that is the big one...because the this year the competition level is so much higher for obvious reasons that injury possibilities will rise...but i like what the coaching staff is doing holding people out from going everyday in TC...but what takes a hit is stamina in the beginning of the year..oh well cant have everything

What worries you more...3 days of mini camp or almost 6 weeks of down time until TC.

Going to be a long 5 1/2 weeks. Which may only be about 4 weeks or so.
We will have 3 to 5 days after mini camp to read about and to discuss. And about 3 days or so before actual TC starts to hear about. What players if any will start on PUP, and how will Jaylon participate to start TC.

So that 4 weeks OT so may not be all that bad. Well, it will be but compared to past years it won't be. Becasie we get an extra 7 days or so of TC and one extra Ps game this year.
And this year I think it is worth that extra time.

Yes people will say more time for injuries and all of that. But also with all the changes and new secondary players, it will be monumental for those reps.

Also the first TC without Tony, so there is that media adjustment too.
