ABILENE, Texas – Ruff Riders quarterback Quincy Carter was picked up by police Sunday night in Abilene on a warrant out of Dallas County for violation of probation, according to records at the Taylor County Jail.

The former quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys immediately bonded out and spent no time in jail.

Carter has a long history with the law. He was arrested for marijuana possession and DWI in Mission, Texas in February, two weeks prior to signing with the Abilene Ruff Riders.

kid obviously has no family support, I wish his mom or grandma or even his siblings would slap him in the face.

He is too old not to figure it out, I truly wish someone would reach out to him that mattered.

While I'm no Q fan... this could easily be a warrant that came out of Dallas because of the incident in Mission that he got picked up. This isn't necessarily a new offense he's committed.

That said, he should have known that this warrant was out there if he was contacting his PO, and he should have turned himself in. But still...

I hope while he was the QB here that all fans were rooting for him to do well. I know I was. I wasn't pleased that we drafted him, by any means, but I certainly wanted him to do well.

Were there really people out there, Cowboys fans I mean, rooting for him to fail?
