Time to clean house

I feel like we’ve been carrying half a dozen guys that have been way sub-par. Almost all of them on the offense.

To me we should churn the bottom of the roster and cut bait on the following:

Dalton Shultz
Blake Jarwin
Allen Hurns
Terrence Williams*
Deonte Thompson
Jamize Olawale
Cooper Rush

*Depending on likelyhood of getting a suspension first saving money.


Ditch these JAG’s and churn the bottom of the roster for some promising talent. I actually quite like the look of Darian Thompson, go find more player like that. We could also have cut Hurns and taken a swing at Josh Gordon, elevated Lance Lenoir and given him his chance, or the big bodied WR for training camp, find a fullback that likes to hit, try out someone else’s TE.

I don’t get why we hold the Chaz Green types so long. IMO we’ve seen enough of these guys to know they aren’t any good.

Agree with most except for Jamize.

I think he has value on special teams and blocking on third (or fourth) and short. Schultz and Jarwin are just JAGs and those wide receivers are forgettable.

Just a reminder Rome wasn't built in a day.. this past offseason was the beginning of the rebuilding of the outside skill positions...

So far we have Gallup who I think will be a fine WR, austin is kind of a gimmick guy dont know what to think, Swaim has become serviceable, Jury is still out on everyone else after that though

There is absolutely zero chance of the team cutting Dalton Schultz anytime soon. It's not happening this year, nor will it next season.

The team will need almost all the players on that list to make it through this season, but I do agree many will be gone next year.

Im not defending JG Im just saying we are retooling the WR and TE positions with more talent

We only get one first round pick a year and only have so much cap space after paying our guys

Be realistic... its like our LBs went from a down right weakness without Lee to a strength.. same with corner, the OL, Dline

Jamiaze - is a good player. This organization traded for a player who doesn't fit their system, and coaches don't know how to fit his skill set into this team.

Rush - jury still out imo, not enough playing time to say one way or another, but I'm all for drafting a guy to replace him or Dak.

Yes, call up Lenoir asap...start the youth movement at WR. Frankly it's stupid to be playing these vets at WR, but I thought it was stupid to sign them in the first place.

Lets cut the young developmental players because they aren't developed enough, so we can sign other young developmental players who couldn't make any teams 53 man roster. So they wil develop.

I disagree with Shultz. He is a rookie and has tons of potential. Still needs developing and will push for playing time next season.

I remember folks wanting to cut Lawrence, Jaylon, Taco, Connor etc. You don't just cut rookies, they are rookies for a reason and needed time to adjust. Some more than others

I would play Jamize Olawale more especially in short yardage to help Zeke... Hurns, Thompson, and Twill definitely need to go.

I will keep one of the TEs around until we get a better one for next season.

You show up with this after a good game?

Are you talking about churning the roster now or after the season?

If looking at these guys as bottom of the roster guys, with the exception of Rush these guys all seem pretty solid. They all can fill in as needed, and several are also special teams players. Schultz is a rookie - give him a chance.
