Make their own. Threads like these help alleviate the pain. (For me, anyway)RoyTheHammer;4306385 said:To be honest im not quite sure what the theme is.
You want others to comment on your creation there or make their own?

Let's wait 24 hours until the consolationists have a chance to really rally 'round the family with pocket full of shells.

Our defense has not improved. Against a so-so offense, we can compete. Against a good offense- we are looking at a shooting match.
Manning 400+ yards passing, Jacobs over 100 yards on the ground. Can't stop the run, can't stop the pass... check.
Questions?
Here is one answer... we aren't the Packers, and we aren't the Patriots- we are a big step down. Good offense, but man our defense just can't hang against a decent passing offense. Even an average pass offense is scary right now.

SaltwaterServr;4306465 said:Don't want it, don't want to hear it. I coined the word to all of those fans who kept bringing up hollow consolation prizes as our team has found itself setting historical marks for ineptness after blowing yet another lead in the fourth.
You remember the latest one right? "We're still in first place in the division" after losing on the Red Headed Retards lack of understanding of clock management 101. You 'member, all the fans who said we couldn't be a bad team if we were in first place with a 7-5 record.
So I'm waiting with a dismissive smirk to hear how they spin the fact we blew a 2 game lead in the division in exactly the following two games after we got it.
I'm really curious as to what the "consolationists" want to put out there this week as the positive spin on our failing season instead of us talking about how we're the second seed in the NFC.
You know, where we should have been if Garrett understood situational play calling. 1 less INT against Detroit, not running it into the teeth of the NE defense when averaging 2.6 yards a carry and them stacking the line, completely contradicting himself in theory and practice on the field goal situation against Arizona, etc.
There is no lead too big for this team to choke away this season.
Want a nasty indictment of this team? I read on the NY forum a thread trumpeting how great the Giants could be in the postseason. He got shot down quickly as one respondent mentioned, "Don't get your hopes up. Dallas sucks. They've beaten one team with a winning record. This is a necessary victory, not a signature one to propel us into the playoffs."
Not verbatim, but the idea of what was said is essentially the same.
But hey, gosh darn it, dagnab it, we're headed in the right direction.
