Time to move Ware ...

... to the strongside. Ware needs to get his confidence back up and he might be able to do so against the opposing team's lesser OT.

This also allows Dallas to play its fast young but too undersized (for the strongside) OLBs opposite Ware. Wade needs to use KC as a primer to see what his newbie pass rushers can do. Maybe play Spencer on first downs/goal line and rotate the young guys more frequently and in waves.

This includes: Vic Butler, Cur Johnson & Jase Williams (I know he is trying to learn the ILB spot, but he is a beast rushing the passer)

I want to see them all trying to blast Matt Cassel into oblivion, maybe that would fire up the regulars on D.

The problem this year is that teams are not afraid of who is on the other side.
Ware has been getting highlighted (blocked by 2, sometimes 3 players).
It's hard to get the sack with 3 people in your way.

he played a lot of strongside against Denver

But it was with Anthony "I can't buy a sack" Spencer rushing from the opposite side. I want to see the young guns in more. And I think the young guys would be more effective on the side w/out the tight end.

Tried it vs. Denver, didn't work out much better.

Define "did not work out"? If you mean "no sacks" then yes. But I define it as "contributing to hte defense's overall effetiveness". It's not like Denver was lighting us up all day with the pass, and they sure as heck could not run the ball. In fact, Orton looked confused and bewildered most of the game. So for all you know, it was precisely because Ware was on the strongside intimidating the passer - sacks or no sacks.

If that was Orton looking "confused and bewildered" I'd hate to see what he looks like when he's comfortable. He played damn good and was rarely pressured to do anything. Ware needs to **** or get off the pot, there is no excuse this week, KC is amongst the weakest teams in the league as far as OL goes. You can try to bend it any way you want to take up for the guy, but the fact is that Ware has been a shadow of his former self thus far in 2009.

Reading the title of this thread, I thought it was about moving Ware to another team. I'm glad it wasn't that kind of thread. :laugh2:

Without a doubt, the lines are stacking it against Ware.
And Spencer and Butler love it and will profit from opposing teams' high regard for Ware.

When?

I haven't been worried about Ware this year and I am still not worried.

Now if he doesn't produce against a horrible Chiefs offensive line, then yes, I will become concerned.

Sack artists are much like baseball sluggers. They are overevaluated on statistics that are obvious to the common fan (sacks = home runs) and people exagerrate slumps into overall poor performance. I have faith he'll eventually snap out of it and get the statistics some people crave.

I don't care if he doesn't have a sack the rest of the season as long as we win. Same goes for Romo. I could care less how many TDs or how low his passer rating goes as long as his performance isn't responsible for L's.

I don't care what the TEAM says. Ware is NOT 100%. He is not as quick or fast as he was last year.

He needs to be moved to another team while he still has some value .... maybe we can trade him for Merriman.

There is something to that. He doesn't look like the same guy as last year. He looks stiff and lacks explosion. Plus, he doesn't seem to be doing anything other than speed rush to the outside.

People cont. to say spencers not effective but I've seen him make some pretty good plays so far this yr. If not fir the face mask on orton he'd at least have shared a sack with ware. He's be in pretty good coverage when asked to do so. He's made at least 2 or 3 big hits on qbs just a tick after the ball is thrown. Not saying he could be better. But he's not awful at all.

He is doing some good things but he has got to do a better job of bring pressure on the QB. He is not facing the doubles and getting chipped like Ware and we need him to make teams pay for it when they do pay this much attention to Ware. Like him or not Ellis provided that and we need Spencer to do that as well.

Yea ..... keep freakin dreaming ..... I do not think he even has a tackle this year.

A team would probably not trade a washing machine for that bum right now.

Doesn't matter what side you line Ware up on. Until Spencer steps up, or they put Butler in more and he shows that the Carolina stuff wasn't a fluke, they're going to continue to slide their protection to the side Ware is on and give him few and far between 1 on 1 battles to exploit.

Is that helping you cope around here? If so, I may have to give it a shot.
