Time to pencil in WR as a priority need!

Manning was 1-3 in his first 4 playoff games. Colts should’ve cut him.
Football is a team game, outside of Brady, the majority of elite QB's have a .500 record in the postseason. Hell, Rodgers/Brees have just 1 SB, but lesser QB's in Eli Manning/Big Ben have 2. The best teams win Super Bowl's, not the best QB's!!

100%…unfortunately a lot of fans don’t seem to grasp this and think if you don’t have Brady the QB sucks.

That's the problem. They value glamor positions more than the trenches and defense. WRs haven't been an issue its the other neglected positions. Just goes to show next year will be more of the same, hopefully, this isn't the case. Nothing against Watson, I like his game.

They drafted Williams and McGovern in the top 100 they just didn’t hit. Hopefully they can get LG figured out and our DTs continue to develop.

Im all for signing a LG in FA and 1T run clogger type if we can afford it.

I think that is their plan. It will allow them to address all their other needs if they can create the space to do so. TE, LB are going to be veterans if not Shultz, Lve, they will sign fa starters. We have Kearse who was a key contributor, Anger who was a great pickup. All this and we haven't even talked about resigning Gregory.

Remember Stephen saying are not going be able to bring back all player we'd like? And Jerry admitting the team next season may not be as good?

No doubt in my mind Stephen was talking mostly about DLaw, Gregory, Coop and Gallup. Not saying all but I can certainly see a combination of 2-3 NOT returning and Jerry was sounding off on what he already know as for whose not coming back. Something else, I wonder if the kind of season Parsons, Diggs and Kearse had as young, cheap talent that balled out is part of their think now.

I am about to drop my first mock offseason projection today. It is going to be as realistic as possible, where many young prospects are going to have to assume bigger roles.

History suggests, teams with the best defense usually wins in February. TB last yr wasn't cause of Brady, they shutdown Brees/Rodgers and Mahomes in the their run. Wilson won due to the Legion of boom, Peyton Manning won due to Von Miller and their great defense.

Agree. That would free them up to get that WR if they choose too.

Nope…should the Colts have moved on from Manning after starting 1-3 in the playoffs? Nope.

your argument that Colts shouldn’t have moved on from Manning so Cowboys shouldn’t move on from Dak is predicated on the assumption that Dak is as good as Manning

if that assumption is not correct then your argument falls apart

you might want to study up on logic a little

What the Jones boys have done is put an almost impossible blueprint in place to build a championship caliber team almost exclusively through the draft. The pressure to nail every first day and second day pick is crazy. And we are in that situation again. Not ideal but it is what it is.

lol you’re on fire

WR is a position where I want to see how the free agent market plays out first. Cooper could stay or he could go, Cedrick Wilson could stay or go, Dalton Schultz could stay or go which would change the need for a #3 WR, #3 WRs are cheap to find in FA....

Talk to me about it in April. Right now, I am more concerned about OLs and DLs. I already know those will be a need on draft day, because we don't have enough money to sign a difference maker in FA.

Forgot to name George Pickens as another 2nd/3rd round receiver that has #1 talent. Underrated route runner.

Love Pickens…think he’s one of the most underrated WRs in the draft that’ll slide just due to inconsistent QB play and being on a run first team.

If we let Cooper walk I seriously hope we don't resign Cedric Wilson thinking he can serve as the fulltime #2 behind Lamb (and I like Wilson).

I can see where a case could be made for a receiver being a need, but not a priority.

OG, LT, S, even DT are bigger needs.

IMO, of course...
