Write about a time when a change in technology was difficult for you. Here's mine.

I was mad when video stores switched from VHS to DVDs. To rewind the dang DVD, you had to watch the whole thing backwards. It's the same thing with streaming. I'll be danged if I'm gonna pay a rewind fee.

I hate how everywhere you go they want you to
Give your phone number and create an account.

Stores, restaurants, etc.

Do you want to set up an account for deals, etc etc.

No, I want to pay for my crap and leave.

So much stuff is gated behind creating an account and getting emails
And notifications. It’s annoying

Thats because they want to sell your phone number and Email.

I will have my phone out and tell them I do not have a phone number ........ just to see the look on their dumb faces
They’re just doing their jobs. What a ….

I hate that every time you leave a place, they want you to rate your experience. The bank, the pharmacy...even the emergency room. The way I see it, if I didn't make a scene, you did just fine. Maybe that's how I should answer them from now on.

I've been meaning to set up a dummy phone number through something like Google Voice. Then I'll give that one out for all the subscription crap and keep my own number for just family and friends.
