Tips for attending training camp

Hi all,
Making the cross country trek with my adult son to TC this year , we'll be visiting his LAC TC too.
Ant tips on lodging, food, strategies for attending would be greatly appreciated.

The Star District where the Ford Center is located will have multiple restaurants (3 dozen or so), haven’t priced actually staying in the district but it is likely pretty pricey. Plenty of other good options up in, near, and around Frisco though.
