Tired of Getting My expectations Up!!!

I really thought this would be the year. I listened to the hype all offseason. I looked at the success of last year. All of the suposed talent on the team, you know, 13 pro-bowlers great draft, all the first rd talent and money spent on the defense, the best secondary in the league, yada yada yada. This team would finally show the grit, the killer instinct and the arrogance of those 90's teams. And after watching 6 games this season I feel as if I have been dupped again. This team does not inspire confidence. Outside of the Cleveland game, we have not shown that we are truely an elite level team and we are best a slightly above average team.

We may or may not make the playoffs this year. We may or may not actually win a playoff game. But as for me, I don't care anymore. I will still watch and root for my team every week but I no longer have any expectations for this team. If we win I will enjoy it. If we lose I will no longer harbor the emotions I normally do. I am tired of getting my hopes up just to see them dasjed over and over again.

Seriously, I want everyone to just have the conception that we are simply an average team that would be lucky to make the playoffs (probably not that far off now). That way I can enjoy the games without the ridiculous amount of frustration I have. My dad is a Raiders fan. They lose again, and it doesn't affect him one iota. I'm sick of having expectations of being this fabulous team and wanting to punch a wall when I watch the game because we're so damn disappointing week in and week out.

I can't get them out of my blood: the Cowboys are worse than crack. but I questioned Wade after the Philly game last season, then the giants playoff loss and was told by ALOT of the posters in here that I was wrong: I wasn't.

I hear ya. I will no longer talk football to co-workers, friends family, etc., let alone, talk trash. I have learned already, that no matter what I say, this team has no ability to back up my talk.

I have missed every first half of the 4pm games this season due to my son's soccer games. I talked confidently about this team. I recordered each game and this team has made me look like a fool. I have yet to watch the first half of the games I recordered, even the wins because of how pathetic this team has played. Maybe I am just getting older, but I no longer have the desire or the will to stick up for a team that supposedly has so much talent yet plays with absolutely no heart. I yearn for the teams of the 70's, 90's, and even the 80's. They HAD heart, they played with a chip on their shoulder. they demonstrated a desire to win at all costs. This team plays like a bunch of sissies (especially on Defense and special teams) and I am sick of it.

i just said in another thread that its better if we as fans just watch the rest of the season with no expectations and just u know maybe the coaching staff shocks us by turning it around along with obviously the players...

We had this game won. WE just had to do what was working. Then we wanted to just run out the clock and let the defense win the game. I don't understand it. We have to play to win. Yet we played not to lose in the 4th. Bad lost.

I feel differently about this team's talent. The talent is there but, clearly, Wade is a terrible coach. I've never heard an NFL coach say he didn't have his team ready (vs. Rams) which is unforgivable.

If we fail to win a playoff game, maybe even if we do, he needs to be fired ASAP!

You may call it the wuss thread. But I rushed my entire weekend waiting for this game, spent too much time reading this board, even when I was out with my family, I was reading this board on my blackberry, and now, I feel like this weekend was worhtless....when I could have spent more time with my family enjoying my time with them at least they never stab me in my heart.

Now I'm trying to salavage what's left of my weekend with my kids who can't understand why I am so down. This is so frustrating...It's like an addiction .
