Cowboys dodged that bullet.
Cowboys dodged that bullet.
Cowboys dodged that bullet.
This is why I think Romo's trade value will do nothing but go up...anyway great post, and I agree 100 percent. This just further illustrates how the NFL is so bereft of talent at the QB position.
There's barely a dozen starters that are capable of winning it all.
So this is what's out there for "depth". Matt freakin Cassel.
This is why we see guys like Weeden, Christian Ponder, Blaine Gabbert, Kyle Orton, Derek Anderson, etc, etc, float around the league for YEARS collecting a few mill per season.
This is what depth is at the QB position.
There are simply not enough capable QBs available to satisfy the NFL's demand.
Lol version of Old yeller that might not make me emotional, wow I care more about a Golden Retriever than Matt Cassel...hmmm, I'm not sure what that says about me..Matt Cassel!! I thought some GM had taken him out behind the stadium and finally put him out of his misery!!

Tony Romo doesn't have any trade value. QB's of this caliber already have a general idea where they are playing next season. On a verbal agreement he will sign with an AFC team as soon as he is cut. Why is this true? Because the Browns can offer 2 1st round picks and Tony will just say he is going to retire then.
Have fun with that , titans., how the hell does he keep getting paid so much? 2.75 mil? This year? That would set me up for life. Yes I'm jealous that I don't have any talents that will make me rich. Wow.
I respectfully disagree. Romo wants to play, and nobody gives up talented QBs for free.
I see what your saying and I think you have good chance at being right, you make several good points, it just pains me to see Tony go for free. I'd rather him not go at all, but things change, I guess.I am not discrediting Romo for his talent by any means. Maybe I should of clarified what I meant. This reminds me of the Peyton Manning situation a bit. What I mean is, Tony Romo is going to pick where he is going to play next not the Cowboys. Respect is given to a veteran player of this caliber and all 32 teams know this as well. I'm sure teams like the Browns, ect would easily give a pick or two to get Romo but he has no interest in playing for a team like the Browns. He already knows who he will be signing with next or has a pretty good general idea (contenders). He will be released just as everyone expects. It's just how it goes with an aging veteran who is respected around the league. The ball is in Tony's court, not the Cowboys.
