Heck, I'd be OK with Zimmer, but that would be the same as jerryball again
I think the next coach of the Cowboys could really depend on how well the defense plays this year, maybe next year under Parcells. If they are dominant in the 3-4 then we will bring in a guy who runs it...I can't think of any names off of the top of my head.Doomsday101 said:That is the key to any new coach who may come here in the future. Jerry has to allow him the freedom to run the team. Jerry will always be involved as owner/GM but what takes place on the field and in the locker room has to be the HC domain. I know people love slamming Campo but in truth it is hard to know what kind of HC he could become when he was being under minded and players allowed to go over his head. This is not to say Campo would have been great but I don't think he ever got a fair shot at it here. I say this as one who likes Jerry Jones but in the case of Campo and Gailey I think they were not given the authority they needed to do the job as Head Coach.

Yeagermeister said:He also played and coached under Buddy Ryans 46 defense if I remember correctly. Fisher played LB for Chicago before he became a coach. And when Fisher got the HC job in Houston he brought Buddy in as DC.

How would like to be named HC and then told there is a OC coming in who will run the offense his way and stay the hell out of the way. My only hope is that Jerry has looked back and realized how corny he was running things.
