I know they want tunsil. If he's there at 4 we should trade back with them.

Yep.
And really, we could then be in position to do just what they did but to a lessor degree.
Nothing say Dallas couldn't still move up from 15 (in a range anywhere from 6 to 12 or so) if they think it's needed to get Lynch, Lawson, Elliott, or whoever they covet.
And still pocket an extra very valuable pick.

need a willing partner though

I'd rather stay put and take the best player available. Rarely will the cowboys get to pick at 4. The only way I'd consider moving back to 15 is if they offer a truckload of resources... At minimum, a 1st rounder for next year.

I disagree - 4 picks in the Top 45 is pretty impressive. The 4th pick is great to have and use when you have a bonafide STUD-laden draft. This draft, on the other hand, has a lot of really good players, but not the huge bounty of GREAT players that some of the past drafts have had. Hence, the numerous arguments in the media and on this board about what players are even worthy of Top 10 selections.

Trading up to #4 would cost them much of what they traded out of first for. It would be far less risky if they had just stayed at #1 and took Tunsil. I can't see them trying to trade that far back up the totem pole.

Titans will have the rams 1st round and 3rd round picks in 2017 regardless of the picks they would lose to trade back up for Tunsil. (they gave rams their 4th & 6th this year) They basically could over pay with 15, 33, 76 and still have the two 2nds and their high third in this years draft plus the extra picks next year.

1st 4 1800

(bold are picks they got from rams)
1st 15 1050
2nd 33 580
2nd 43 470
2nd 45 450

3rd 64 270
3rd 76 210
4th 113 68 to rams
5th 140 36
6th 177 20.6 to rams

Rams 2017 1st
Rams 2017 3rd

Possibly, but even if they gave up everything else to get back up there to take Tunsil, they'd still have that additional 1st rounder for 2017. And the offensive tackle they wanted all along!

Exactly right! And look like geniuses in the process. Getting 'their guy' plus 1st and 3rd picks for 2017!

It really wouldn't.

To get back to #4 it would probably cost their 15th and maybe the two picks in the 2nd round they got from the Rams.

That still leaves them with an additional third rounder this year, another 3rd rounder next year and the Rams first rounder next year.

They probably won't trade back up but that's because they player they want is the player that the Chargers probably want.

Not at all. #4 will be MUCH cheaper than #1. Let's say we moved down for x1st, 2x 2nds, 1x 3rd. They still gained and extra 1st and 3rd for a 4th and 6th.

I think this is our move if the Chargers take Ramsey. Trade back, pick up 2 2nds, and have a field day in the second round. There is bound to be somewhere there at 15 we covet, Hargraves, Shaq, Rankins (doubtful considering how much the Cowboys value DT) but always possible, Treadwell, or even Lynch would all be good possibilities there. Yea they might not be as good as Bosa, but for 2 2nds I will take the dropoff.

Who else needs a QB? 49ers? Bears? Could they trade up with the Chargers ahead of us to take Lynch then Dallas had the choice of Ramsey or Tunsil. Bid war would net us some great picks

Why would they make that trade with the Chargers when there is absolutely no indication that the Cowboys are taking Lynch?

Did we not have a private workout? Plus reports are we liked Lynch over the other QBs. Plus panic could set in with the other trades. It's possible, wasn't saying it as fact

Still pretty much every report says Bosa or Ramsey (who various reports have also said is at the top of our board)... That would be a lot of panic to assume we won't take Ramsey or Bosa and would take Lynch instead
