Assuming Martin is done would anyone consider drafting another OT this year if one presented itself? Maybe a LT type, slide Guyton to RT because Steele is cooked. Bass goes to RG, Tyler back at LG and then Beebe at C?

I'd do it.

PS _ Ugh what a bad contract Steele is.

I like the OL talent actually. I dont think they are all scrubs.
Dont get me wrong, Edoga could leave tomorrow and I wouldn't shed a tear but I think with the right coaching, this group could be a strong unit.
Martin's services have been greatly appreciated but his time is up as well.
The remaining group has good to outstanding potential.

The key is to nail the OL coach hire with the next regime.
Solari is beyond pitiful.

This is what I would do if/when Tyler Smith fully recovers from injury:

LT: Tyler Smith (back to his college position)
LG: Cooper Beebe (back to his college position)
C: Brock Hoffman (more accurate snapper and fires out better during each snap)
RG: T.J. Bass (back to his college position)
RT: Tyler Guyton (back to his college position)

I like both Bass & Hoffman , Asim Richards . The depth of the OL As well as young starters Smith Beebe Guyton has the OL in a good place hopefully for a new OL coach next season .
100%

I think everyone has agreed that Hoffman and Bass could play since last year. Richards is solid and Beebe and Smith have really bright futures.

It's been rough this year, but this group is going to be good going forward.

Id he open to it, however I dont know that there is an LT prospect worth where we will be picking. Id just assume move Smith to LT and play Richards at LG

Im also wondering if they are seeing Richards as an LT. He has had 120+ snaps there over the last 3 games

Well they better be able to pass block because the guy running the show needs alot of time to process and is not mobile

It’s so disappointing.

I was so happy when Steele’s deal was announced. A guy who worked hard and won a starting role being rewarded for it.

But as soon as pen was put to paper it’s been all downhill. Now he looks like a bum out there.

The team needs to get out of that deal as soon as possible.

What a shame.

What if he could slide inside?

Cowboys might shuffle the OL around next year. Bass can play!

I thought Bass played well with his opportunities last year and yesterday. Definitely should get an opportunity to earn a starting spot. Personally, I would cut Steele, draft a guard or OT then find a way to get the best 5 on the field. Guyton could swing to RT, and depending on if the Cowboys draft a guard or tackle you can use Tyler Smith's position flex.
