Even if that were the case, if the coaching staff can't be creative enough to use him, then quite frankly they suck at their jobs.

except it wouldn't have. as bad as the coaches are, there's no logical reason to believe he wouldn't have been at least rotating in on 3rd downs as a DE.

Granted, we'd all be sitting around ******** about how he should be a full time DE, but there is no way they would play him at SLB and sit him on 3rd down

But wasn't that the explanation they gave for not picking him. "He was 252lb, maxed out on his frame and had 2 ACL surgeries" they didn't feel he would hold up taking on NFL tackles who outweighed him by 60 to 80lbs! You're giving the coaches to much credit in using him creatively, once they had already made a predetermined decision on him!

Once a player gets here, you're talking about an entirely uncharted level of density to sit Watt on 3rd downs. The coaches are bad at there job, but they aren't out to sabotage the team
