On Thursday July 25th the Dallas Cowboys had a day off. Not true for Owner, President, and General Manager Jerry Jones who had to fly back to Arlington for the announcement of the new naming rights deal for the Stadium. In a landmark deal with AT & T the stadium is now AT & T Stadium instead of Cowboys Stadium. Rumors put the deal at somewhere between $17 million and $19 million per year. Let me be perfectly clear when I say this, no matter who eventually got the naming rights, Cowboys fans were not going to like it.

Heck, many of them don’t even like the new stadium, much less a corporate sponsor. For 4 years everyone wondered who Jerry was going to ink a deal with for the naming rights. I’ve heard speculation from Cisco, to Dell, to AT & T, and dozens of other corporate giants as well. Word on the street is that this deal has increased the worth of the team by $100 million. I knew immediately that this deal meant two things.

very good article. I would love for us to become one of "those" stadiums where the noise actually gives you a headache!

My wife is not a football fan, but she went to the Atlanta game with Jobberone, his wife, and I. The thing she remembers most is how loud the Falcons fans were.

If anyone on a tablet is having trouble reading the article, try landscape mode, their "touch" (I'm guessing that's their tablet website which I keep getting redirected to) site is terrible.
