With the Halloween NFL trade deadline quickly approaching, here are three veteran safeties I believe the Dallas Cowboys could make a move for in order to improve their defensive secondary this season.

I love how fans here like we wouldn't be better if we made a move. There are guys out there that could help us and the league, heck this franchise, has a great tradition of trading for a veteran who helped improve the team. Heath is a liability. All 3 guys mentioned would make the defense better the day he arrived. If the price is right, you consider the trade. A Front Office who won't even consider trades has their head buried in the sand. Get better, every day, every way available.

In a weird move today, San Francisco announced that Eric Reid is a "linebacker"..not sure what that's about.

Im not as down on Heath as you guys.

I don't think he's a bad player.

Where we need help in coverage the most is Linebacker and getting MArinelli to tell his corners to press more instead of giving WR's a free release.

Also, Byron Jones needs a new celebration.

Heath is blah.

It's obvious. Play Woods more. The tape doesn't lie. Woods, even for a rookie, seems to anticipate plays better than Heath, etc.

Heath should go back to his dime role.

I'd definitely call the 49ers and see if they have interest in moving him

We won't. For silly reasons.

If they didn't go after TJ Ward when he was an FA, they aren't going to trade for a safety now.

Most likely.......... but then again, when Ward was available, they also thought Jeff Heath was going to be a player for them. They now have evidence that Heath might not be as good as they thought.

THANK YOU!!! Here, I thought I was the only one thinking that. In this day and age, that celebration is quite possibly the dumbest thing he can be doing. It's only a matter of time that he gets penalized for it and no doubt will happen at the worst possible time.

He's a smart guy too which is what makes it so weird that he chose that.

I can't believe the Cowboys PR haven't pulled him aside and told him to find something else.

What celebration? If you're talking about the holstering his gun celebration? My goodness......hard to get offended by that I'm a sport where guys literally kill each other slowly.

Im not offended by any means but there is a group of people that think that a lot of these guys are just thugs and a guy like Byron Jones who sounds like a politician out there holstering his guns after a routine play is just odd and not well thought out.

Somebody on the team (maybe Irving) was already fined for a celebration that involved mimicing the shooting of a gun.
