I prefer TNA's product over the terrible wreck that WWE is putting out right now.

Everyone wishes no one died, everyone wishes Rock didn't leave, but even if we had all those people back in WWE Vince McMahon is still booking and until he passes on WWE will not be any good, unless he has competition, and that is why I support TNA as much as I can.
Vince hasn't been booking matches for quite a while last I knew. I wonder what Bret Hart looks like these days. I might check out tna if Rob Van Dam will be in that company. Hogan and Flair need to go away before they have heart attacks and die in the ring.

Current wrestling is hardly enjoyable.

WWE is such **** and the production quality of TNA is poor. Hopefully TNA can grow a little to produce something.
At the very least, if TNA can prove to be a credible threat to McMahon there will be a greater imperative to have a more innovative product. One can hope, at least.

Its not confirmed if he will be there yet, but www.pwinsider.com (on there elite section which i'm a member of www.pwinsiderelite.com) reported they have offered him a contract to appear only on PPV's and TV shows and he is discussing it with family and friends.

Shawn Michaels has always been my favorite wrestler, I started watching in around 1999 and didn't really like anyone until Michaels returned in 02, I stopped watching in 08.

I was the same way but I stopped watching in 2001.

Wrestling just got to be terrible and every once in awhile ill flip it on during a commercial on monday night and it is as worse as it could possibly be.

The WWE lost a lot to people going hollywood and injuries.

My prediction...PAIN

TNA is going to get reamed in the ratings war. I expect that WWE will quadruple the rating TNA gets.

sports entertainment?

You could call anything "sports entertainment".

I think the better question is why anyone cares where this thread is at?

I'm extremely interested in where they might go with this Bret/Vince/HBK angle.

I'll watch the Fiesta Bowl live and DVR both shows.

the plan as of now is to have a storyline leading up to Bret vs Vince at Wrestlemania.

TNA has averaged a 1.1 on Thursday this year, so logistically if they pull a 1.1 it successful it means there fanbase followed them.

I predict around a 1.4 (which would be their highest rating ever) because of all the ads and outside interest, WWE will pull a 3.6-3.825, which is higher than their 3.35 average because of the interest generated by Bret Hart.

On Jan 4th, anyone's interest peaked? I use to be a diehard wrestling fan and will surely check this our, Bret Hart is guest hosting for WWE and TNA has Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and reportedly Rob Van Dam coming in.

WWE's website is www.wwe.com
TNA's website is www.tnawrestling.com
TNA iMPACT will be on Spike TV from 8 pm EST until 11 PM EST on Jan 4th up against WWE's Raw which is on USA from 9 PM EST until 11 PM EST.

Discussion commence.

I might do a wee bit of channel surfing between the two shows Monday night... it's not like there will be any MNF to compete with them...

Shawn Michaels has always been my favorite wrestler,

Mine was Rowdy Roddy Piper in his prime... he cut the absolute best promos ever...

And I wish Goldberg would get back into wrestling, I liked him too...
