It was entirely injuries with Emtman. Among other things, tore his patellar tendon: no player at the time had ever returned from that injury.

It's tough how time kills careers. Guys come back from Patellar tears now. Going back a bit further, Greg Cook and Gale Sayers had their careers cut short by injuries that guys come back from all the time now.

It's great for the current players, but for those older guys it's a hard pill to swallow.

That sounds good IF Fields plays well the rest of the season, which would be good for them. Otherwise, it'll be another QB.
