TNF Commanders vs Packers

NFL executives and coaches would disagree. Its hilarious to me though how the Cowboys were a top 5 defense with him on the field and a bottom 5 one with him off of it (the advanced stats reflect this) and somehow the guy who finished top 3 in DPOY 3 years in a row is suddenly not good... its stunning how much people try to cope.
so you wanna show signed statements fro those NFL execs and coaches that you claim say this?

Jerry could have had Parsons for much less if he had done the contract after 3 years. Still shocked they traded him. Packers don't look like they needed him but they would have been super lucky to draft a player like him for what they gave up in the trade so it made sense. Money is the money but the cap goes up every year and Parsons is a rare talent.
Jerry is a big fool. You got talent on the team, sign them earlier for cheaper than if you wait.

Every intelligent football fan knows that hes not even the best DE in the NFL LOL

Garrett, Crosby and Watt are all better
Exactly. He’s atleast #4 at his own position. Does he take away half the field like Deion did in his prime? Nope. Is he LT? Nope. Is he as disruptive as Ray Lewis or Aaron Donald? Nope. Can he rush the passer? Yes… so can a bunch of other guys that don’t make 47 per.

I don't think he's the best, but I believe he's up there. What that means as far as value, I'm not sure. He got paid similar to what players on his level are getting paid.

My biggest thing is I don't see him being the difference between us winning and losing. He's not our Charles Haley because we need more than that. He might be Green Bay's Haley. We'll find out over the next couple of years. If the Packers can win a Super Bowl, then the trade and contract was worth it to them. It will be worth it to us if we do anything with those picks.

Washington last week against NY, and tonight against what is some sayong GB a SB contender. Do not look, like they did last year. Yes, only game 2.

So what does that say about GB. Are they as what some want them to be. As they look good but only up by 11. There are still a few things like Love has missed on some throws. And many long throws. One may connect at some point though.

Nothing saying either team is a juggernaut. But still only game 2.

We are not ‘coping’, you’re being butt hurt
Nah because I'm laughing at the argument. Its hard to be "hurt" when I find the argument so laughable that it is a little sad. You can even add the team he went to immediately looking like the best team in football. At some point we have to accept that maybe the top 3 defensive player in football entering his prime is actually really good at football.

The problem is and always will be that they didn’t go all-in when they had him and lamb on cheap contracts.

But it did not make sense for the Cowboys to extend him at this point.

Great move for GB. Good move for the Cowboys once it got to that point.

you wanting to believe this drivel is amusing

dont we normally have a game thread for these single game national broadcasts?

Who will be the first to cheer for the Packers, just to call out Jerry for the trade? Start a poll! Lol
I want the Packers to lose, because I want our draft pick to rise. If we can't beat our NFC East rivals on our own, we deserve whatever spot we land at, at the end of the season. In the playoffs you better be able to beat anybody you face, or you don't deserve the record.

Did any of those guys get at least 12 sacks in their first 4 seasons?

Am I alone in thinking Love is overrated?
I think Love is Hurts is Dak, etc. Teams have shown they can win with those QBs if they have a good enough team around them. Put any of them on a bad team and it's pretty ugly. Can throw Romo in there as well.

Philly had the best defense in the NFL and the best running game, so consequentially, Hurts played well enough to be a Super Bowl-winning QB.

I mean the numbers speak for themselves. The Cowboys defense before his arrival being historically bad speaks for itself. The Packers immediately looking elite speaks for itself. The numbers showing snaps with Micah the Cowboys were a top 5 defense during his tenure and without him they were bottom 5 speaks for itself. There just is not an argument for him not being great and it seems sad to me watching people try to convince themselves that 2 late 1st round picks are worth it for a 1st ballot HoF player entering their prime.

STOP THE MICAH CONTRACT TALK. MANY OTHER THREADS FOR THAT.
STAY TO GAME TALK.
Oh dang. My bad Jazz. Forgot the golden rule on these game day threads.

No sarcasm it’s a good rule. These threads are more fun when it’s just about the game
