I know it’s sacrilege, but when I watch guys like Bosa and Hutchinson, I just don’t really think Parsons is even close to being the best DE or the best defensive player in the league. He’s special and unlike anyone else, but those guys are just so powerful on top of their pass rush ability. They manhandle offensive linemen.

Maybe if Parsons was playing OLB in a 3-4 and sometimes playing off the ball more, he would be even more impactful. He’s still a top tier pass rusher, but he’s really playing a bit out of position as a 4-3 DE.

That said, we are very lucky to have him, but all the talk about the best defensive player in the NFL doesn’t add up to me.

Yeah, that's a good rate in the early 1970s.

He did bring them back from 0-17 in the 4th to win on Sunday, but that's about it.
