Interesting take. Then I guess all NFL teams should be required to play in climate-controlled, domed stadiums with artificial turf? I'm sure the Allies would have loved to compete against the Axis Powers with no unforeseen variables? Not in my book. I enjoy watching players showcasing their skills to win games. Inclement weather squashes that and favors excess fumbles, slipping, sliding, crazy miscues and blind luck both good and bad.
But, when you think about it for a minute...aren't the "fumbles, slipping, sliding, crazy miscues and blind luck" what make football unpredictable and fun? Otherwise, we could just run everything through a computer simulation and be done with it. Ho hum.
Thursday night, the Browns handled adversity better than the Steelers did. That's not only football...it's life.
