Terrell Owens returning in a month?

By Mark J. Miller

Free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens(notes) had knee surgery this past offseason and tells ESPN that he could be back in the NFL in "a month or less."

The 37-year-old six-time Pro Bowler is not planning to retire this season, would like to be back in the league before season's end, and will "be even better next year," he told the site.

Like alot of older players he just doesn't know when to leave the game

Poor thing seems to think someone is interested in him.

If he can comeback healthy, and with the way he workouts and works on his body like a freak I have no reason to believe he can't (even at 37 years old), I'd think there is probably a few teams that might be interested in his services.

He was on TV with that crappy Philly guy who does NBA stuff peddling the fact that he did stem cell stuff and would be back in less than a month. He is trying to drum up interest so he can land a job. Of course, he needs one after his "financial adviser" robbed him blind.

He said (and I quote): "I will be ready in less than a month, and you know what you are getting with me."

When he said that the first thing I thought was, are you trying to get a job or prevent yourself from getting a job? :laugh2:

Owens really wants to be number 2 in yards, receptions and TDs. He is number 2 in yards, tied for 2nd in TDs with Moss and about 35 receptions from being 2nd to Jerry Rice.

edit - Tony Gonzales will become 2nd alltime in receptions, later this year.

If I could remove his brain. Then I would take him back.

With that he is Ogletree. How about his mouth instead?

That is what needs to be done with Crayton. TO is a psycho. His brain needs to go.

He's like some kinda zombie. They're notoriously difficult to kill because they are dead already. We need to arm the league with some sort of weapon to prevent his return...

Silver bullets?

No. That's for werewolves.

A wooden stake??

Vampires, DE. Vampires.

Milla Jovovich???

Hmm.

Well, he couldn't beat Joanna Krupa. Why the heck not!

Brady and New England could use this guy. That is a team that would work with TO IMO. He would have to go to a team where he could not control the QB or the locker room. That would be the place and Brady needs somebody who is over 6 ft to catch passes. He could help that team IMO.

He's still better than most wideouts. God knows he's a million times better than Ogletree.

Why stay out of the game if you can still play?

Seriously if this guy wasn't such a cancer, I'd welcome him back in a heart beat.

He can still play. He's just a mental midget.

As would I. He also wants to win in the worst way. He has all the tools to be a great leader and a motivator. If only he didn't care so much about himself and knew when to keep his mouth shut.
