To whom this may concern,

If your name is mentioned in this thread you may as well start packing your bags. You just never know if you'll be doing the same job in 2009 for the esteemed Dallas Cowboys franchise. you play with no heart, coach with no directive, and should be ashamed to take Jerry's money in what is obviously highway robbery. You'll either be gone or no longer safe in your current position. Book that.

offenders and perpetrators:

Aw Shucks "Romo"
RW11
Adam Jones
Anthony Henry
any offensive lineman
Brian "the paycheck thief" Stewart
Wade "it's all my fault" Phillips
Jason "I'm nothing without my daddy Sparano" Garrett
Wade "the anti-coach" Wilson

Feel free to add anyone I left off. Although Jerry is talking a good game now, once it sinks in, moves will be made. Give him a week or two. I look forward to the house cleaning that's just over the horizon.

Respectfully,

A fan that deserves more than a fraud

PS. To JWitt and DWare, I'll see you next season. Everyone but you two is on the bubble.

Ware, Folk, Ratliff, McBriar, the rookie class. Everyone else can take a flying leap.

**To all overpaid fraudulent employees:**

correction...

Yeah. By fraudulent I meant all encompassing. My bad. They should be ashamed to actually think they're earning those paychecks. The NFL is in a sad sad state when players get paid so much that it causes them to lose focus on why they made it to the NFL in the first place.

RRRRRRRinng: Mr. Cowher? That you? Let's talk.

What makes you so certain?

Yeah DE. How can you be so certain Jerry has not made the call to discuss? We all know the vaunted vote of confidence normally means the FO is trying to keep things quiet to avoid waking the sleeping BSPN propaganda machine while they do their work behind the scenes. What makes you so sure this is not happening?

Where is T.O. on that list? He should be the second to get the axe, after Wade, of course.

As I stated, feel free to add to the list.

To me the only players I welcome back next year with open arms are Witten and Wade. the rest of them should be put on notice that their cushy starting jobs are not safe...

Come on...if we don't make the playoffs its okay...

I truly cannot believe he said that.... simply amazing... If our supposed offensive leader has that attitude you know Wade P has totally rubbed off on him and that is not a good thing.

It's not what Jerry Jones may or may not offer Cowher which makes me certain, but rather what Cowher himself has publicly stated which leads me to believe that he will never accept a head coaching vacancy here. I had started a thread myself to ask anyone for confirmation on what I thought I remembered Cowher had said on yesterday's CBS Pregame Show, but it seemed as if I was the only Zoner who saw/heard what he said. Many thanks to WG for finding Barry Horn's blog entry below which does confirm what Cowher stated:

I. This statement hasn't yet attracted much attention. But there should be lots of discussion about it, because of who said it. "T.O. was unhappy with his role in an offense when they had Witten and Barber, but all of a sudden now you acquire Roy Williams. All of a sudden you bring back a healthy Felix Jones. Where does he fit in? This offense is about developing the offense, not trying to keep the players happy. I say they have to get rid of T.O. They have enough playmakers." That was Bill Cowher in the CBS pre-game studio
In my highest opinion, if Cowher stands behind his statements, it's very unlikely that he would accept the job from Jerry Jones because Jones is equally unlikely to cut Owens as a stipulation.

Now, before folks immediately jump on the "Cutting Owens would be salary cap suicide for the salary cap!!!" or "Cutting your number one wide receiver would be stupid!!!", etc., bandwagons, I didn't imply either of those opinions. My only discussion point is what Cowher himself said.

Thanks for the info.

Just for the record, I would be all for cutting TO if it meant we get Cowher as HC along with the freedom for him to assemble his own coaching staff and tool around with the groceries a bit. I do know that would take an awful lot of soul searching for Jerry but IMO it would be a brilliant move.

Some are going to immediately argue how Cowher wouldn't be a good fit but I beg to differ and I am at work so don't expect any long back n forth debates from he about it.

We're not going to clean house. It's just not going to happen. As much as they deserve it, most of these players will have roster spots all but guaranteed by the financial and practical realities of the NFL. This is especially true for Flozell, TO, and Romo.

Which leaves coaching as the only practical way to turn this around next year. Otherwise, this is a 2-year project.

I'd be all for cutting TO as well, salary hit be damned, if it were to get Cowher here.

I just don't expect that to happen.
