Jerry has gotten alot of flack this week and last for some of his actions.

Some say that he has taken too much control over what this team is doing, and where it is heading.

My opinion on the topic is this:
This team clearly has no leadership be it on the team, and CERTAINLY not from the coaches. Therefore, Jerry is doing what a leader needs to do. Stepping in, and leading. He is telling Phillips to run HIS defense, he went out and got a proven WR to help this team, and went into the lockerroom after the loss, and gave a speech.

Wade has no leadership abilities, and Jerry is doing what leaders need to do. Take control when the situation looks gloomy. Hopefully we right this ship, but it certainly wont be because of Wade Phillips.

Now with that being said, this circus atmosphere wouldnt even be an issue if Jerry wasnt the GM/Owner...but like Romo, you have to take the good and the bad with JJ.

it's not his place to be a leader. sit in the press box and be a owner.

I'm no fan of Jerry...however, I find it laughable how all these Parcells-apologists come here and use Parcells as a defense when it comes to Jerry-bashing.

He's more than an owner. He's a GM.

And I'll take any sort of leadership we can get w/ this team. It's apparent the SHOULD BE leader (our coach) isn't one.

i agree to a point...

if he wants to act like a head coach..then be the damn head coach.

if you don't want to be the head coach...let the damn head coach be the coach.

this is jerry's problem...

be paul brown or don't..

Only because he made himself the GM. No other team in the league would ever hire someone with his lack of credentials and track record to be GM.

The only time this franchise has ever done anything since he's been the owner is the two times we've had a strong HC with control. Whenever Jerry starts being "large and in charge" we've fallen off. After all these years you'd think he'd learn, but apparently his ego is too big.

Someone refresh me on what exactly jerry has done this year to deserve all the criticism?

You seem to forget the Super Bowl he won with Barry.

You seem to forget that was the year after Jimmy...kind of funny that the year after parcells we had a pretty good year too. Then the year after...down the drain.

He turned this team into the circus that it is.

Maybe so but the original remark said " with a strong coach" I think we know Barry was not a strong coach. Fact is we won with him as coach and Jerry as the GM.

So it is a circus because why? Is it because Pacman was signed? Don't give me that crap. We needed a corner and he was a low risk option. Most people were on board with it to so that is a lame reason.

And people seem to forget how the team Wade took over was a talented, albeit underachieving team.

This WASN'T Jimmy's team that Barry took over. So what's your point?

Thats because it does take a little bit of time (ie. one season) for Jerry's meddling ways to screw up this team.

Like I said, we would probably be 2-5 without the services of Pacman.

Sorry, but that's the truth. 95% of Zoners were BEGGING Jerry to beef up the secondary in the offseason(especially with all the torture of seeing Reeves and N. Jones getting burned all the time)...they got their wish.

So no no...no use complaining now.

Hardknocks, letting players be celebrities, his belief that there is no such thing as bad publicity, his meddling and undermining of the coach thats starting to come out. Its a full fleged circus at Valley Ranch, and I resent him for that.

Now that's funny-the Zoners here that ATTENDED TC last summer talked how this felt like the Jimmy years all over again(No-they weren't being homers...they supposedly made very good observations).

When you spend 140 million dollars to buy a pro football team then I believe you'll be in better position to tell someone what they should and shouldn't do in regards to their investment.

Yea, Im sure the HBO cameras and the lack of hitting was a spitting image of the Jimmy years.

The propaganda was flowing thick in the offseason.
