Not surprising, he has been terrible.

terrellowens: I'm no longer a Seahawk. I THANK the organization 4 the opportunity, I'm truly blessed beyond belief. My FAITH is intact & will NOT waiver.

This was his last chance and he blew it. Careers over. Goodbye TO.

Only thing to do now is wait-and-see if he makes it in on the first-ballot in five years. I do not think he will. Then again, another team might sign him and further delay the inevitable.

I think he is done in this league. He just doesn't have the ability anymore between age and injury. Everyone can see that he has nothing left in the tank. Add lack of ability and tendency to divide a locker room and it is a no-brainer that he won't get another opportunity now.

His best bet is to play nice, keep his name in the news and hope to get a gig as an announcer because he doesn't really have any other skills to pay the bills with. He isn't particularly beloved by fans who he has repeatedly alienated with his erratic behaviour.

I hope he has finally learned some humility but I doubt it.

There isnt a big demand for 39 year old wide receivers who cant catch the ball. Please join ESPN, that is about the only way their coverage could get worse.

And before someone mentions it.........NO!!

We don't want him.

His hands just are not good enough and he is not a physical enough receiver across the middle.
I think he has the pure athletic ability to still play, after all he can separate from corners, but he doesn't have the ball skills or mentality to continue in the NFL.

I think he's lost his explosion that made him elite and now has to rely on route running and being sure handed to make it as a role player. Only he never bothered to work on those aspects of his game.

I would literally sign Phil Costa to a multi-year extension before bringing him back.

I was actually hoping he'd make it this year and get enough money to get some kind of start over. A McDonald's whatever to earn a living. I don't see him as an announcer but that'd be good. He's not a bad guy just gets in his own way too often. He needs a few years of therapy.

Nah man, then you wont have him to laugh at anymore.

He's just a lil boy in a grown man's body.
