I wanted to post this in its own thread.

To all of you who said he would blow up and implode this team, what do you say now? This guy has been nothing but team...

I hope we have him for 5 more years and he retires a Cowboys (like all good players)

GO COWBOYS!!

Probably won't even post in this thread.

A lot of things in the NFL are over dramatized. AKA the Suzie Kolber effect.

5 more years? haha no thanks, he'll be pushing 40 years old.

Maybe not 5; however this guy is the example of fitness and work ethic in the NFL. To bad the media created such a bad perception of hi.

High Five's teamates getting them ready for the big game, all his conferences have been nothing but positive, Team leader (captian in the locker room).

This just goes to show you that you can not judge a book by its media perceived cover....

There's plenty of TO haters who said nothing of the sort. Disliking someone and thinking they will fail are two different things.

I hope we can replace him with the same level of talent without giving anything up. Like Deion Sanders, Ill be glad if he doesnt retire a Cowboy.

One word: IMPACT

Philly - TO's team goes to the NFC title game(yes without him) and then they go to SB (yes they went through same playoff runs without him) but now they were feared.

Dallas - TO's first year in Dallas should have netted atleast a first round playoff win and maybe good enough to get to NFC title game again

TO's second year... we are back in it. There is no suprise there. I knew he would help us get there.

Bottom line: Philly didnt do the right thing. McNabb didnt. Andy didnt.

Now they look like fools because Jerry knows how to get things done.

So let me guess TO did all those things on the sidelines last year that the media said, TO was a cancer on the team, TO tore this team apart. Hey, glass half full guy. All I am saying is he is a far better teammate and player then the media and eagles fans said...

And would this team be in this position without him....NO!

On a side note, what is it with these Philly fans and their *quick* anger at their players when things just go ONLY a little bit wrong for a *short* period of time.

It's not just their constant bitterness toward McNabb, but their punter last year, Dirk Johnson, is another classic example...

In the reg season Saints game, he made a bad miscue(ended up punting the ball right at one of the closest Eagle blockers) that resulted in a cheap 7 pts for the Saints-ultimately, this costed them a bye week when all said said and done. Otherwise, the Eagles would have hosted the Saints in the NFCDG last year.

Anyhow, aside from this costly miscue, Johnson has been a VERY solid punter for this team(including last year). But it was b/c of this ONE bad play, that the Philly fans, and even their media, started hating his guts all of a sudden and wanted him run out of town. And on top of that, with him being the FG holder, he was also scape-goated for David Akers' lukewarm FG accuracy last year(even though they seemed to not notice their long-snapper was injured).

Anyhow-fast forward to this year-Reid cuts Johnson after preseason and makes some rookie(Rocca(sp)) their punter AND their FG holder...Result? Rocca has one of the WORST punting averages in the league, AND did Akers improve his FG accuracy from last year? NOPE! He was like 29th in the league(!).

Oh-and as for Dirk's blunder in that Saints game, people also seem to forget that Omar Gaither made a bigger one(being that 12th man on the field late in the game) that kept the Saints' game winning drive alive. Hhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm................how did he REPLACE TROTTER this year?!?

Wow...either Reid is DUMB enough to listen to these idiot fans, or is even DUMBER than these fans.

The Giants have to draft around the fact that he will probably be in a Cowboys' uniform for the next several years. They need to find a top CB just because they play the Cowboys with TO twice.

I'm thrilled to say I was wrong about him.

Still not crazy about him, but I've never disliked his effort on a football field.

Well I remember many a Cowboys fan wanting Ross in the draft.

They were not happy when the Giants grabbed him.

I was one of them.
