I guess he forgot that football isnt about violence, and hating your oppenent. It's about winning. But i guess some fans cant see that

Are you serious, or is this the new NFL?

you must be another blind fan

Yeah, right... that is the ticket!

No violence when a guy steps on anothers face...huh.
No hate when one spits in anothers face...huh.

Hey, you ever watch an old Cowboy Commander rivalary game or a Bears Greenbay game. Naw, they love one another.

lol, wow, lets take the few players that have no respect for players or the game, and say that the entire NFL is like that.

Yea your really not blind

I'm not gonna resort to insults. But those were just examples off the top of my head. I could think of more if you like. Football is a violent sport, ask toomer what he thought after jawing with Williams. If you actually think they love one another, tell me... are they kissing in the trenches?

Lmao, When i see guys make a tackle, they help each other up, giving each other head slaps, for good plays, Are the nice and sweet all the time no, but this isn't a league, where guys hate each other on and off the field.

My actaul point was that players dont hate each other on and off the field. Once they take off the equiment, they are people that wanna hang with people they know, whether it be other players, family, or teamates.

And no one is resorting name calling.

Didn't say name calling, said insults. Calling me a blind fan is a slight insult. I would agree, they have a few players that help one another up. But this is a violent sport, these guys don't like one another.

Do you actually believe a guy making millions has no ill will towards a guy that tries to take his knees out? Gee, you ever hear of the bounty bowl? Or, have you heard about what happens at the bottom of a pile?

If hes such a 'cancer' why are players from the other team still hanging out with him? I recall last year it being 50/50 in the locker room on the Eagles team according to his book and other player reports. Didn't several Eagle players go to his birthday party? Just curious.

Your still taking one instance, and making it like every player in the NFL does this

And everyone knows, it's a dangerous place to be at the bottom of the hole.

One, are you serious...I gave you 9 different instances, 9 different games and I'm not counting all the games between the bears/packers or Cowboys/skins. Gee, how many times do you see another player jack-up (lack of a better word) another player. After, he just stands over him talking smack. Where is the love man?

Because once again your missing my entire point

What happens on the field, does not stop players from talking to each other or hanging out AFTER the game. AFTER sunday. The whole reason why i see this thread stupid and pointless.

aNd im talking about NOW in the NFL, not in the past. Times have changed, and so has the people in the NFL. The rivarles arent the same. If we were in the 70's or the 80's. THen yea this would be a travesty, so would having BP as a coach, and TO as a cowboy. But this is the 2000's. Players have relationships outside the football field.

Apparently he was playing dominoes in the hotel lobby for 2 hours tonight with Reggie Brown, and Greg Lewis.

That just bothers me the night before a big game. Doesn't TO have any friends on our own team? Better yet resting up, and studying the playbook.

Tom Jackson? Who told you about our board?

Doesn't really bother me...they are both receivers like him. If it were players on Philthy's defense, I'd be concerned about it. After 110+ TD's in his career, I'm sure T.O. has many fans throughout the league...including Philthy.

Hey, they look up to the guy.

This is the new NFL. Just in case you hadn't noticed... players actually talk to each other before and after games. Here's another unbelievable thing. Players actually have friends that are players on other teams. Wow. Imagine that.

This isn't the 60s where hate was more prevalent than good natured sportsmanship while the clock isn't running. It is the new NFL. If Sam Hurd were playing dominoes with John Smith from the Eagles this thread would have never been created.

:hammer:

I'm sure he had a few instrumental words of encouragement for them back when he player there. If I remember correctly they were relative nothings at the time.

A game of dominoes gets a thread... :lmao:

You should email this story to ESPN. It just might make it on the air.

Okay, I'll agee with some of this. With the way players move from team to team, friendships are built. I also don't have a problem with T.O. hanging out with old friends. Never said I did. But in the same instance, like it was brought up earlier...half of the eagle team sided with TO that would mean the other half doesn't like him or don't agree with him. I'm absolutely positive there are players that wouldn't blink an eye if T.O.'s career ended tomarrow with an injury, I wouldn't call that friendship.

These players, for the most part...don't like one another. You can see it on the field, you can hear it in thier comments. This is a violent sport, but I love it!

If they didn't have rules, most of them would carry knifes and guns onto the field.:D

Sports nowadays is more of a business than anything.

Players after the games, go and shake hands, some with smiles on their faces even tho they lost.

Hey bud i'm making 5 mil, what about you? ehh lucky ******* only 3.5 mil per for me. Want to go to Tony Roma's for dinner ? sure man, let me get ready, hopefully the coach wont have too much to say. aight. peace. later dood. see ya in a bit. ok
