To quote Bill Parcells and Sean Payton, Do Your Job! This needs to be the message that McCarthy should be making the primary message entering camp next week. Dak needs to make his throws where his WRs can catch them. The receivers need to catch the ball primarily. The backs need to hold onto the ball and get as many yards as they can. The oline needs to block, etc. If the players on this team do their job, I think this team can win the Lombardi. But they have to stay healthy, and do their jobs.

This all sounds like Football 101.

If the Cowboys can stay out of their own way they will be fine.

Exactly, that's the biggest thing. Stay healthy and doing their jobs. If the Cowboys do that, then I don't think that there's a team that can beat us.

I kinda side with NFL Chip Kelly..

"This isnt Harry High School"

When asked if he yells at his players on the Philadelphia Eagles.

Everyone knows they gotta do their job or lose a good paycheck on this stage.

Definitely, and I'd expect everyone to know their job(s) by now. That said, we had players not doing their job last year. I don't need to go into the myriad of players who didn't do their job(s) last year.

the team talks big every offseason, which the other 31 teams do. This isn't new. Again, like the thread title says, DYJ.

Yup, at the end of the day, the team that hoists the Lombardi is the one that did their job the best. Simple as that.

its a matter of cohesion and staying healthy, executing the best. Agree. All the talk in the world matters not. Heck, we been hearing talk like this for 27 years. I miss the old days where teams didn't say much but did what they were supposed to do. Football has always been like that and will remain as such until they turn it into flag football. Agree.

Yup, I'd prefer less talk from the team and more focusing on the job at hand.

Such as simple message, but the little things matter and that's what has been missing since Bill retired.

Yes, though I think Mike has been good for us. The team needs to focus on getting the little things right. And those little things that make a big difference can be worked on in training camp.

Didn't the Patriots last SB team have a motto something like: know your role, do your job.

All the great coaches we have had and you choose to quote those two bums who could barely keep us at .500 when they were here.
