I feel sorry for the watermelons. 2023 motto. "This time unlike the the last time or the times before that, the fight will be finished."

All the great coaches we have had and you choose to quote those two bums who could barely keep us at .500 when they were here.
I chose the quote because it fits what I think fits the team. As I've said, I think that, as long as this team stays healthy and the players do their jobs, there is not a team that can beat us.

To quote Bill Parcells and Sean Payton, Do Your Job! This needs to be the message that McCarthy should be making the primary message entering camp next week. Dak needs to make his throws where his WRs can catch them. The receivers need to catch the ball primarily. The backs need to hold onto the ball and get as many yards as they can. The oline needs to block, etc. If the players on this team do their job, I think this team can win the Lombardi. But they have to stay healthy, and do their jobs.
that describes what everyone expects every player to do in the NFL!!

what Parcells meant is you are given a job, specific things for you to do in each play. don't worry about anybody else. do what's your are expected to do in each play. the coaches will make decisions on what's the best play and what everybody's job is. if every player went rouge and decided to do what they think is right, then nothing will work.

Exactly, and that's what Mike should be saying, among other things. Like someone else said in quoting Belichick, the players need to know their roles and do their jobs.

McCarthy finally doing his job.

I can only guess why it's taken so long. Did the Jones boys impede his power as HC or did he just not care untill last year. I hope the changes he's making will make an impact in games but there is only one way to know for sure.

I agree 100%……I just hope they can do their jobs better than the Eagles and Niners

This all sounds like Football 101.

If the Cowboys can stay out of their own way they will be fine.
Yeah, I don't think a bunch of pro-level players who have done their job well enough to get to this level want to hear "do your job."

Pro or not, humans are prone to mistakes. We all make them. Whether we like to admit them or not is another story. Do your job is not a constructive response to making mistakes, though. It's more of a general, underhanded gripe that says, "you're not doing your job," which to most would be obvious.

That said, I still love Rusty anyway.

Dak has to do more than just a passable effort at his job. He has to elevate the team around him and even carry it on his shoulders when the chips are down. He cant catch the ball for his receivers, but in big games he is going to have to put it places other QBs can't.

Actually, that saying is attributed to Belichick and his quote was "Just do your job". He was addressing a situation that had evolved where there was a lot of talk on the team and he was trying to refocus them into a single-mindedness.
