The premise of this thread is beyond moronic, but if Tnew's vocal leadership is the issue - I do NOT want him to clam up.

This teams needs leadership. Badly.

It's not time for Tnew to go into a shell because he wasn't his usual perfect or non-perfect self in coverage today.

Tnew just needs to be himself, and speak up when he feels he needs to.

Leadership should be coming from Parcells...It's obviously not and no matter what Newman or any player says it's not going to matter if leadership doesn't come from the Headcoach.

Owens should not rip T-New...But...

So T-New...1 punt return for a TD...One Personal foul that cost us a TD and a Fumbled punt that resulted in a TD.

Plus he got beat a few times on pass coverage...No they weren't TD's but some were on 3rd down that could have got us the ball back.

After speaking out...the verdict is in...T-New Shut Up.

Just a little correction there. Newman did get beat for a TD and he got beaten very, very badly.

The whole defense stunk today except for Ware. The defense has given up 30 plus to New Orleans, Detroit and Phil.

Calling out teammates to the media is NOT leadership. Anyone who has played football probably realizes that.

Somebody needs to step up and lead, and if that is TNew, that's good.

But what he did last week was not leadership, and actually surprised me, as did Wittens comments.

I truly wonder what could have affected this bunch to see them fall this far.

Maybe we looked at beating the Colts as winning the Super Bowl.

Did anyone else think there should have been a penalty for interference on Newman's fumbled punt return? The nearest Lion grazed him. They are supposed to allow room for the returner to field the ball. I blame Newman for not doing his job, but that still should have been a penalty. Easy call if you ask me.

Turns out TNew wasn't talking about Owens at all, or even our offense. He was talking about our defense.

Not ever a good thing to complain about a teammate to the media. Confront the guy yourself and take care of it in private.
