TO was open for a Touchdown

Really wish TO woulda caught that ball for a TD, meant the difference between the cowboys covering and getting a no play for only winning by 3 :( Happy to get the W though of course.

Regarding the topic of the thread, Witten was the open read. Had the read progressed to TO, perhaps Romo would have seen him, and released the ball downfield....

I'm glad that it ended up in Witten's hands, though - no telling if "stonehenge" would have even caught the ball....

I also like how it was our tight end who kept his trap shut the whole game. But Shockey lead his team to defeat and ran his pie hole the entire time!

Poetic justice!

Not to mention the verbal irony involved with Romo being the quarterback to hand Shockey the loss after all of his pregame hype.

Let's not forget that Shockey once called Parcells a "Romo"....

Ponder that thought.

TO was having a poor game, eight catches blah blah blah, clutch drops were what stood out.

Romo probably could of pumped faked the saftey towards Witten and then hit T.O. for the touchdown. I have no doubt in my mind of that.

But who do you throw it to with the most confidence that they are going to catch it with the game on the line? T.O. who has dropped quite a few this season or Witten who hardly ever drops them. I think he made the right decision.

Clever use of the cliche graphics.

Hmm ...

Maybe we should start a thread, kinda like a game thread, where we guess the "path" that Romo will take to the Super Bowl (using those graphics). And if you're not a homer like me, and you don't think that Romo will lead this team to the Super Bowl, then you get to put whatever quarterback you want to put in there and choose whichever teams you think might go, et cetera.

We'll make the prize something like the losers buys the winner season tickets for next year....
