and i got a huge migraine.

imagine how great it would feel going into the cold season if we were 7-1 today.

just imagine!

is anybody else not over it?

I'd feel pretty good if the team started playing like they deserve to be 7-1.

We lost 2 games we could have easily won and won 2 games we could have easily lost. That's what 8-8 teams do, and oh by golloy we happen to have an 8-8 record.

You are what your record says you are.

Exactly. 7-1 teams are characterstically defined by their attention to detail, in all 3 phases of the game.

Our record is a perfect description of how we have played, fluctuations of great and miserable.

Season isn't over, if we address our issues (not counting on it), 6-2 is possible over the next 8 games, putting us at 10-6 and NFC East champs.

Actually, I do feel great about this team because I do believe they play like they deserve to be better. The fact that they won games they could easily have lost proves it. The fact that some of those games came with an injured QB still playing and overcoming his injuries proves it too. The fact that other players, like Murray are coming in to spell injured players, or even Holley for all but winning hte Washington game, and that these players are lighting it up proves it some more.

But the fact that we lack depth and have lost games because of matchup problems due to that also proves that we have defenite holes in several areas of the roster - holes that are characteristic of rebuilding teams that are not fully rebuilt yet and need amother offseason or two to get htere.

That's what this team is - an 8-8 team on the rise. And they are fighting through the adversity and doing a hell of job overcoming as much as can be exoected by an 8-8 team.

So please don't mistake the roster deficiencies for lack of effort. That's what's unfortunatley fueling the local and national media's hate of the team; every reporter and commntator is so focused on what Dallas is doing wrong, that they dismiss everything that is going right, as if it's not even happening. It's up to us as readers and viewers of this media hate to not get sucked by it. Shame on us if we allow ourselves to get duped.

The thing you fail to realize is that while we can say we "should" have won a bunch of close losses, we also have a bunch of close wins about which the other team can clearly say they "should" have won.

The bottom line is that there have been three games so far this year where one team was clearly better than the other, and we went 2-1. Giving ourselves the benefit of the doubt for the Washington game (where we had so many injuries) we can say we "should" be 5-3. Maybe.

you would be correct sir. We would actually have had to do something in 3 of our losses to preserve a win. And by doing that, it would show us to be something other than who we are. From the coaches to the players..we are a team that cannot handle big moments. It's almost like we cannot believe we are winning a game everyone said we would lose...so we crap our pants and give it away. Against, New England...we could have gotten first downs on offense (don't care how we get them)...or we could have stopped Tom Brady. We did NEITHER. Had we gotten first downs on offense..that would have done wonders for the confidence of this team on that side of the ball. Against the Jets, we had a collapse in ALL three phases. Against the Lions..we threw picks (not all on Romo)..but NO ONE tackled the guy. We gave up back to back pick sixes! When we turned the Pats over...did we score? No! Turnovers happen...but you do not let a team score TWICE in a row.

Sensabaugh got hurt and then we decide to let Detriot conduct a 7 on 7 drill. So, if we had finised those games to EARN 7-1...I would feel better about this team. But the coaching and performance of some of these players is WHY our record is what it is.

I'm not over the Philly game because we were embarrassed and humiliated. That is the game that will haunt me and this team when all is said and done because I don't think we can beat the Giants twice. I believe we will be on the outside looking in come playoff time. :bang2:

We started 1-7 with Philips.

We are 4-4 with Garrett.

We have been in every game except Philly game.

Like it or not, we are improved and are improving.

~shrug~ or go back to years prior to 2010 when we were better than 4-4.....or the 2nd half of last season when we were 5-3.....it's relative.

Facts are, this core group of players has underachieved under all 3 coaches going back to Parcells, and many of them are starting to get serious age on them.

Interesting. We should win all close games but never lose any. The 2 wins over San Fran and Washington were just as close the 3 losses to New York, New England and Detroit. But they are automatic, and the losses just tragic.

Good information. Pure fantasy but good information.

I get over every game (except victories/losses involving the Commanders) 24 hours after the clock hits 0:00.

We could just as easily be 2-6. We are what we are ATM, a .500 team.

Sweet post....

Why cry or worry over spilled milk...it is what it is.

;)

Other than GB, every team other than Indy thinks it could have won a few extra games if they got all the breaks. That's not how it works.
