The end of the JG era, and a new beginning. The more I read about McCarthy the more I get excited. I‘ve always liked him and the toughness he permeates. Finally a real HC again. 10 years of futility and a man gets beat down. This is a new beginning and I haven’t been this excited for football in a long time.

Rejoice.

I havent been this excited after a losing/non playoff seaosn since 2003 when we hired BP. 2 days after that, I purchased season tickets, but sold them the next year for my divorce. LOL I wont be doing that this time since they arent as cheap, but still just as excited.

Saw one of the insiders say the 3 main reasons for the hire by Jones was MM was the guy to instill Fear, Accountability and discipline, this coming from Jones makes me wonder what kind of country club JG ran the last 9 years.

As I stated in another thread I think Mike will fall in love with the kid. He’s a coaches kid with a lot of talent. He just needs to be shaped and molded. Mike will call plays, and Moore will help implement and probably learn from each other. Moore doesn’t have JG fingerprints IMO. That’s a good thing.

Great point!

Horray!! No more Garrett and his cheezy slogan t-shirt designs each and every year. I guess those slogans was his way of instilling FEAR, ACCOUNTABILITY and DISCIPLINE.

He should make one more design that says STOPPEDCLAPPINGIN2020

Lol you peeps are so gullible. dude have the same issues you rode Garrett for...lol
for the record, I'm going to support him like I did Jason. but you dudes are funny.

Matt LaFleur will fix McCarthy's game-management woes
Matt LaFluer is hiring a game-management specialist, which is something Mike McCarthy should have done a long time ago.

What concerns me are Green Bay's special teams in 2018: 32nd in the NFL.

I hope all of those analytics he's been studying taught him they're kind of important.

why?

Not trying to be a smart ***. Still waiting on a well thought out explanation from people who like the Nolan hire.

1. He has never served in the Detroit Lions organization
2. He is not running a Tampa 2
3. He likes big, run stuffing NT, DTs.

What more do you need to be glad?

Accountability? Did you say accountability?

Funny you say that, because Packer 2nd team All-Pro LT David Bakhtiari was pretty clear about how happy he was that McCarthy was fired so that ACCOUNTABILITY might be restored in Green Bay.

"After seeing lack of ‘accountability,’ David Bakhtiari hopeful Matt LaFleur brings new culture to Packers"

"Bakhtiari liked what he heard from LaFleur — especially when it came to accountability, a lack of which became an issue toward the end of McCarthy’s tenure, Bakhtiari said."

Yes. I have read that McCarthy had issues in GB especially the last 2 years. There are many reasons why and they are not all on McCarthy. McCarthy wasn't my first choice but I'm happy to see a seasoned HC that has won a SB and not some new that needs to learn on the job. Let's see what McCarthy has learned from his experience in GB. At this point, we have no choice but to get behind him.

Because the Cowboys hired him... We could have resurrected a dictator from 1940's Germany, made him the DC, and people would be calling it the hire of the century... Because we did it.

No doubt. It's been 13 years (!) since we were Garrett-free. Last time Garrett wasn't here, Parcells was coaching, which feels like 100 years ago.

So absolutely, next year is going to be a totally different and better football world. Finally.

Consistent stupidity is not a good trait

when the best NFL HC in history said something that directly and totally contradicts your stance then you just need to be quiet

again, stop being fake, you had issues with what you percieved to be game management issues and clock issues, dont moon walk now, his resume comes with those same issues.

Let's hope he can rise above the terminal culture that has germinated throughout the organization
