At 8:00 PM tonight, the NFL Network will air a 30 minute segment entitled "2009 New Orleans Saints: A Recap of the Saints' Run to an Undefeated Season." It's likely no coincidence this will be aired a mere day before their game with the Cowboys.

And just now, Rod Woodson said that Felix Jones will the X-Factor in the game because the Saints were going to "X him out."

The lack of respect for the Cowboys is astounding. If it doesn't motivate them, I have no idea what will.

Admittedly, the Cowboys have earned many of the snide remarks they've received.

However, I cannot remember any instance in which an 8-5 team has been berated and mocked with such ferocity. It's unprecedented.

I agree 100%. Respect is earned on the field.

So why do the Cowboys deserve any less respect than the 8-5 Cardinals, who were swept by the Forty Niners? The Cardinals aren't being eviscerated this week.

i'm sure Garrett will do that before they even get a chance.

This is comical. Yes the Cowboys are 8-5, I get that. Buuuttt, we are also 0-2 in December this year and history seems likely to repeat itself. I understand you are upset because it seems as if the media is piling on. But instead of being mad at the media why don't you refocus that anger where it needs to be, squarely on the shoulders of the players and coaching staff on this team. The media and everyone else will jump back on the bandwagon if this team somehow turns things around.

Keep in mind this is a what have you done for me lately league and the Cowboys have done nothing but lost 1st place in the division to the Eagles.

This team has proven many times in the last two years nothing will motivate them.

Or the 6-7 defending champs, who seem all but forgotten by the media? Lose 5 straight to the likes of the Chiefs (who we at least beat), the Raiders (who we at least beat), and the Browns but that doesn't matter, because you won LAST YEAR? That was then, this is now and last seasons success or failure has nothing to do with the performance of a team this season!

They did the Colts right before them i.e., undefeated teams.

Nothing seems to motivate this team. Their Grammy's tied to the goal post and being beaten by the Saints defense wouldn't motivate them. They'd all sit around waiting for someone to do something.

We have lost two games, one to a pretty darn good team, and one to an above average division opponent on the road. It sucks for sure, but it's not like we are losing to bad teams... Every team we have lost to this season is in playoff contention the same as we are. It'd be different if we were losing to thi likes of KC and Oakland....

It wasn't Rod Woodson by Jamie Dukes who said Felix would be X-Factor.

Enough about Lack of Respect. If that motivated the players, they would have beaten Giants/Chargers. Its the fan talking about respect factor not the players.

Apparently last week during Chargers practice week, team was not that up, according to NFL network's Mike Lombardi as told by Brooking (Apparently Brooking wanted to get into a fight to get the team riled up and I wish he did that). Why do some fans think, somehow they will rise up and beat an unbeaten team, that seems very motivated?

I wish they would rise up and beat saints, but I don't get all the fans being riled about no respect issue? When did that matter for Cowboys, at least since 1997? Besides this game is not the end of season, as much we all think it might be. I just don;t see Giants winning 3 in a row. So if Cowboys win next two, even if they lose this one, they can make playoffs. But I expect them to be one and done even if they make it.

Thus far, the Cardinals are 1-1 in December, and they were abysmal last year.

I'm not "mad," "angry," or "upset" at anybody. I'm simply offering commentary on this week's game and the events surrounding it -- which is the entire purpose of a message board.

Furthermore, I've been quite scathing in my criticism of Jerry Jones over the past two seasons. If you had bothered reading any of my previous commentary, you would know that Jerry is a frequent target of mine.

Keep in mind this is a what have you done for me lately league and the Cowboys have done nothing but lost 1st place in the division to the Eagles.

So, in essence, the Cowboys don't deserve to be treated like a first place team. However, they are an 8-5 team...just like the Arizona Cardinals.

Jamie Dukes' comment prompted Woodson to say that Felix would be "X'ed" by the Saints defense.

LoL@ DTIME

If they were winless in December and playing the Saints everybody would be laughing at them too.

Calm down, it's not a lack of respect. The NFL Network is running consecutive segments on the Saints and the Colts because both are undefeated.

They also happen to be showing special programming on Superbowls XII, XXVII, XXVII & XXX all Dallas victories leading up to the fact that they are televising the New Orleans-Dallas game tomorrow.

It's not coincidence, it's called marketing.

I doubt it.

The Cardinals are 8-5, and were swept like by the 49ers.
