What specifically are you disagreeing with? The last two playoff losses saw the 49-ers play this offense the exact same way. Shut the run down and force Dak to pass the Cowboys to victory. I don't expect this time to be any different. Even with Pollard on the field the Cowboys weren't winning the game relying on Dak. In fact that is what the Cards did. Curb the run and force Dak to throw it. The more Dak started throwing the more people knew that the INT was just a matter of time and sure enough, there it is and the Cards defense is nothing compared to the 49-ers.
You are being logical, but assuming all remains the same over time. The Cowboys had the opportunity to win both games beyond just putting on a uniform and showing up. Three years and that is being passed of as remaining the same for both teams. Why? None of that is used to explain, beyond maintaining blame and not respecting the strength in change as well. What if San Francisco loses a couple offensive linemen now? Or, just age catches up with one or two? That not a chance? What if their quarterback gets knocked out by a Dallas defensive lineman? It's happened to both Romo and Prescott. This is football.
You used above, a situational circumstance to define a momentum driven sport. You don't think this offensive line will again elevate the whole offensive production?
What if the time for Prescott improves with the return of all starter offensive linemen? Does that again guarantee 2.0 seconds to complete shorter passes? Just like a Red Zone circumstance.
Two back shoulder jump passes were just barely not completed because of timing at the boundary. They could have been successful if clear in time. Lamb could have won those contests.Given room, Prescott completes those passes at a high percentage. There are reasons that affect production ... not a lack of talent at his level of play. One pass, the interception, was made a fraction second late, because of fields of vision for Prescott.
The Cowboys lost by 12, and I was talking just about the offense. This game was lost by the defense.
No, momentum changes are being seen at present. Those are built into the sport, not predetermined and written in stone changes. The Cowboys are talented and fully in the competition for success.
Scoring point differences will adjust all season, but the team will continue winning at a high level and be fully in the race.
The Cowboys will be fully in games against Philadelphia, San Francisco, Buffalo, as well as New England this weekend.
I say Dallas will beat the Patriots next.
