Best wishes to any of you still looking to track down a last minute ticket...

NFL's Cowboys Are A Hot Ticket On Thanksgiving

By Thomas Barrabi Published November 23, 2016 Sports FOXBusiness Opens a New Window.

The Dallas Cowboys are an annual staple in the NFL’s slate of Thanksgiving games, but the success of rookie quarterback Dak Prescott and the rest of this year’s NFC East-leading squad has pushed ticket prices to near-record highs on the secondary market.

Tickets to the Cowboys’ division clash with the Washington Commanders on Thursday afternoon are selling for an average of $289, according to data obtained from secondary market ticket aggregator SeatGeek. That’s the second-highest total SeatGeek has seen for an NFL game on Thanksgiving since 2010, when it began tracking the market.

“This is the hottest Cowboys home Thanksgiving game we have seen. Demand for this game has gone way up since the start of the season,” SeatGeek content analyst Chris Leyden told FOXBusiness.com. “The median listing price is up 70% from where it was on the first day of the season.

Hats off to you season ticket holders who sell to the highest bidder. Myself and others really appreciate sitting next to Commanders fans today.

It evens itself out and then some. Cowboy fans are all over the nation and prices automatically increase when the cowboys come to town. This is why the cowboys are represented on the road better than any other team.

Gotta love fans where money is more important than enjoying seeing a team (with 2 great rookies) have success and chemistry that is rare for the Cowboys.

Man, you can't find tickets to a Cowboys away game for less than $250, so that doesn't seem that bad to me. That's one thing that sucks about being a Cowboys fan who isn't in Texas, every Cowboys away game is the most expensive game of the season for whatever team they're visiting. I was gonna go watch the Boys play in Baltimore 4 years ago, but nosebleed seats started at $250. I looked at all the other home games the Ravens had that season, and they all had tickets for under $150, some for under $100. Cowboys fans are everywhere, and season ticket holders know they can make $$. That being said, I hope there aren't 20,000 skins fans there today. That would suck.

I'm not a season ticket holder, I'm just saying that it is something to get used to when the NFL, ticketmaster and StubHub makes it so easy to sell your tickets. Cowboys benefit from this on the road more than any other team.

yea I know and those tickets are available for cowboys fans because home team fans sell them at outrageous prices.

I have seen the cowboys in other cities also. I paid over 300 bucks for a ticket to the vet to see Dallas.

That has nothing to do with what I said though. Point being if Cowboys fans who own tickets didn't sell there wouldn't be other teams fans in the building. So later tonight when people start complaining about the crowd make sure you know where to point the finger.

You should have bought the tickets next to Theebs.

Thanks to those season ticket holders that help build the stadium. Those who have no skin in the game will just complain. I'm sure they appreciate you wanting them to lose money so you can be more comfortable.

You mean like me? A season ticket holder?

Yep. I'm going to the Vikings game next week and tickets have been crazy, even with the Vikings losing.

I also looked into getting tickets to the Browns game a few weeks ago but tickets were way higher than typical Browns games

Yep, same here. $270 for nosebleeds and a $500 round trip flight to Cleveland from NYC. Can't do it.

Had cowboys fans all around me today, Hardly any Commanders fans tonight. It was shocking and fun.
I saw very little red and just from live TV I thought we had a real home field advantage from the sound of it. Was the crowd as good as it sounded on TV?

it was great, just like the philly game. great atmosphere for the people who came to their first game ever which a lot do on thanksgiving.

It was a fun night in the stadium.

Yep. I was at the 49ers game this year and it was almost 50% cowboy fans

So every single seat in the stadium is owned by a season ticket holder?

I was there also and thought we had over 50%, at least in the parking lot and my section. Either way, it was awesome!
