I'm sure there are those who would like to see us come out in NY throwing and attacking like we did against Philly, but my guess is that we'll come out and try the power running game, accompanied by short quick passes.

The DEs for the Giants, along with the weather and the hostile home crowd, necessitate running the ball and moving the chains with short passes. We must avoid letting their DE's start teeing off on Bledsoe. We all hate running it on first and second when the OL isn't opening big holes, but today we have to pound it, take time off the clock, and keep pounding it even if we're only averaging 2-3 yards a carry. We'll get our first downs with the short passing game, and we fans will scream and yell at the TV when several of those short passes don't covert first downs.

I believe we'll try to keep the game close, lure Strahan and the other unspellable DE to be lulled into a different type of game due to the running and quick drops, quick passes...then sometime in the 2nd quarter and occasionally in the 2nd half we'll take some deeper, slower developing shots down the field.

We just can't afford to give Tucker and Pettitti both help, still manage to shut down the middle, have no one to help on the blitz, and sit back there with Bledso waiting for longer pass plays to develop.

This is a game I think BP will be very content to have close in the fourth quarter.

You're probably right, but we never expected to come out slinging against philly back in the first meeting either, and it worked.....frankly I think either could have success, depending again on the Tackles. I'm not that worried about Rob, he faced Strahan earlier and did a solid job, Tucker may have a problem seeing as how Umenyora (sp) has had a better year than Strahan. I think the bigger key is to not let the DEs get to Bledsoe EARLY.....they'll get to him eventually, prolly multiple times, DB has to make good decisions with the ball and take a sack if he has to! But he needs to be bale to get into a rythm, once he does, if they get to him, it won affect him as much.

...to see the team do something completely different.

They say it's the Giants game to lose so if there's no real pressure, then let's play with no pressure.

Let's "West Coast" our game plan. Bledsoe is not noted for accurate short passes, but pundits say a West Coast short pass is like a long handoff.

Short pass from two tight end sets, from I formation and two half back sets.

Mix it up and see if the Giants are prepared to stop the pass. We know they are going to focus on the run because Parcells always runs. Let's try something unusual.

I hate to use the West Coast terminologies, but I think screens will be a big part of our arsenal today.

Heck, this used to be Emmitt weather. Jimmy Johnson built a team to win in the cold weather. Let's see if BP did the same.

I'd expect a power running game, lots of punts, and an occasional deep ball.

Bad time to let Price go. If he's good for one long pass a game, he's worth keeping.
