Is Holmes the guy that Jerry was raving about during the offseason?

I thought reports were that Dannie Coale as look very good so far since returning.

Right now, Dannie Coale and Cole Beasley, followed by Harris are what some of the media are claiming have the inside for #3.

Yeah, that's him.

They said he turned it up a bit, last practice.

We will see

A lower back injury is a bright red flare, time to do whatever it takes to find a suitable center if Mack can't be that person.

MCGee and Carpenter are going to have a lot of fun with Arkin as the center

I imagine Tony and Kyle will be sitting back with a beer watching and laughing as those two run all over chasing down bad snaps

We may need to go with a two QB formation to ensure one of them gets the snap:D

tom_orsborn Still waiting for an MRI on Costa's back, but Garrett all but ruled him out for Monday's game. "We don't anticipate him playing."

We have nothing on this team as far as C goes, until the final cuts. Our starting center ain't on this team. I have to believe that, for my own sake.

If you really feel that way then you need to lock yourself up and throw away the key.

Final cut deadline is Sept 2. Our first game is Sept 5.

If you think we are going to have our starting center ready to play in a few days then you have more faith than I do in that regards.

Even looking at the cutdown deadline to 75, which is August 28th, trying to find your starting center a week before your season opener is crazy.

So your saying there's still chance huh... :D

Best chance we have is near final cuts or about, a vet or rookie center gets cut... and that center could easily be better than anything we have right now, if they can just snap the ball consistently. I've watched a lot of preseason games, and I've yet to see an errant snap. This team can't do a walkthrough without one.

Who's number 10?

DMNRainerSabin Two catches: Cowboys WR Dez Bryant flew past Brandon Carr on one, then turned around Morris Claiborne on the next in individual drills.

espn_macmahon Andre Holmes makes a leaping catch on an out. Wouldn't call him explosive coming out of cuts, though.

DCStarJEllis Dwayne Harris landed awkwardly and hurt his ankle or foot. Being looked at on the sideline.

toddarcher Deep ball day in one on one. Lots of double moves.

nickeatman Dwayne Harris is hurt ..

Harris is hurt now? :banghead:

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon 1-on-1s start with Dez torching Carr on a deep ball off double move. Sold in cut well. No safety, but still ...

Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher
Claiborne does a nice job sticking with Dwayne Harris on out route

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon
Mo Claiborne is in pads and participating in 1-on-1s. Still won't play against Raiders.

Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher
Stop the presses. Cole Beasley with a drop. Akwasi Owusu-Ansah with a pick

Josh Ellis ‏@DCStarJEllis
They've found someone Akwasi can cover... He hustled stepped in front of Midwestern State's David Little for a pick.

I think once we had Ratliff to the mix, this defense is going to be pretty salty.
