That shotgun snap from Beebe was way too weak/soft. He needs to snap it back hard, fast, quick and accurately to Dak. No time to start building bad habits. Can't believe the Oline Coach didn't notice and call out Beebe on such a weak snap. As a coach, you are not there to be a player's best friend first. Your job is to push them to get better while fixing their mistakes. Start getting after the Olinemen when they show signs of building bad habits, Coach!

Looked good to me. Quick enough to be faster than a physical dropback, on the money, waist high and pretty hard to bobble. Dak probably wants it the way it was delivered. At the end of the day, the QB dictates how and where he wants the ball. Some play more relaxed, if they don't have to worry about the speed of the snap. Also allows him to snag it with peripheral vision and not have to focus fully on the ball. I get your point and you may be right, that's just my take. I ran the gun for 9 years and the snapped varied a bit, depending on the QB....some want it to the right, others in the middle....as a coach, I had it delivered, depending on straight dropback, quick game or rollout right or left.

There are so many variations to the snap as you have stated.

Whatever is the one you want it has to be consistent and reliable.

For alot of the young kids I coached I always went with the deadball grip style cause they were just learning and I needed the ball to come off in a predictable way.

All the kids wanted to do spiral snaps cause, "That's what the pros do!" But I just wanted the ball to come off in a predictable way so we could have a play executed.

Variations we took into account was left-handed vs right handed QB, and height of the QB, but it always came back at you like a deadball floater.

Now to the original poster's thought we always tried to ensure the ball came back in a timely manner. About 1 second was right. The pros would be way faster.

But we also stood our kids in the shotgun about 3.5 to 4 yards deep so as to not stress out the snapper with distance.

At the end of the day we took into account the young snapper and the QB, but we certainly had varying results.

You know you could probably lead the sarcasm at home Same old story huh are we going to go back to the 2023 camp in which because of 2022 and you damn right the receivers were the bigger problem in 2022 with the interceptions either they weren't getting open or when the ball did get to them it was bouncing off their hands would we like to go back and breakdown 2022's interceptions and if you call that a bad year,

We can go break it down more than half of them were on the receivers..

However back to the training camp nonsense of counting interceptions or touchdowns I don't want to see it but in the 2023 training camp you remember the media and ESPN was actually talking about his interceptions on the show and how he was going to have a bad year and how this and that I bet Prescott blah blah blah Prescott bad Dak bad bad bad can have a bad year...


He should have been the MVP this is what happens when people watch the stupid variations of practice when they're thrown at Nets and they're trying to hit the cross bar when they're playing in practice and trying to come up with every scenario they can so the defense and the offense can play through get as many reps as possible.

Do I need to remind you of the nonsense that went on during that offseason they counted every interception and every incompletion in practice and then that comes out and has one of his best years ever that is why these things need to be tabled table them Prescott win healthy and plays a complete season Puts up great numbers top five numbers usually in the NFL..

In my opinion he's had three years that he could have been easily given the MVP it's a subjective thing the voters they do what they do but in 2023 after all that nonsense in camp after all that nonsense on ESPN after all that nonsense from the haters in here he bowled out big time and got robbed of his MVP..


So let's do this to be fair don't count the touchdowns don't count the interceptions and please if you're gonna be critical you better bring it because I'm not having it...

Oh by the way yes the interception that came off of the throw to Brandon Cooks that was absolutely a mugging by the DB not once but twice and he got leverage and he intercepted a ball but what else would you like Prescott to do when nobody was getting open There was number run game the blocking wasn't good it was a bad game all around and he was trying to Hey I'm gonna throw a ball to a guy like Brandon Cooks who should be reliable and he gets interfered with very badly no call and then the other one would you like to talk about CD Lamb breaking his route off and going up field going off script and Prescott already read the play across the field he threw the ball because CD Lamb was supposed to run a crossing route or whatever crosser play was called he was supposed to come all the way across the field and he did not yes those interceptions in the Packer game which didn't matter because the defense was so bad it was never gonna be enough Just like last year it was never enough They would have had to score in every play to win a game that is how it works blame the quarterback..

Know that there was a baseball team that waited about 100 years they called it the Curse of the Bambito or something I don't know but it took them a 100 plus years to win one championship and they finally did..


And it had to suck to be a fan of that team I mean 100 years can you imagine 70 years less for our drought,

Care that you stopped reading there were people on here talking about Prescott and Dak and a lot of those videos were of him And then when you say just like the last 30 years I'm putting my own spin on it lots of people around here blame the quarterbacks period end of story I was just adding that to it but the rest of it's true so I don't care if you read one sentence 1 SYLLABLE or the whole thing I said it and I stick by what I said The drought is not that bad grow up become more mature as an adult that you can separate one year from the other.

For me sports is a one off every year is a new year there is no 30 year stacked for me yes there's a drought but to me there's been different reasons for the failings But I can wait on number 6 it is number 6 I have much more patience knowing that we've had two dynasties and then another Super Bowl will be on the horizon someday whether it's with Jerry or someone else it doesn't matter to me because I understand the difference and I already explained the difference and maybe you should go back and read it because I have real facts in there of other teams other fan bases all over sports including in our own DFW where we have three other pro teams that only have three total championships in their existence that's it their droughts have been longer their jobs have been worse their history of winning championships have been worse...

Come on man... we all knew the team was gonna struggle defensively last year. I didnt think it would be ALL TIME WORST but yeah. Year before that, we didnt even know who our RB was. This year is IS DIFFERENT.
