I can now also understand why Scandrick was a little upset he was around till the 5th round, he thought he did everything he could to go higher and in fact he had, we had rated him a 3rd rounder but no one wanted to bite on him anyway till later.

Scandrick was a great pick -- however, Jerry's approach to getting him was questionable. At one point we were sitting there with #111 and #122 in our pockets. Choice and Scandrick are both on the board as #111 comes around - Jerry trades out.

If you have a 3rd round grade on a player, just freaking take him it is mid 4th already!

Worked out well in last year's draft but this really does point to how Jerry sometimes tries to make deal after deal so that he looks smart. It is like he's got this inferiority complex regarding drafting and has to show that he can be clever like Jimma was.

Not really.

They have explained they trade out when they feel the value is about equal for a number of guys. It is certainly possible Choice/Scandrick and many others had that same r3 grade plus we had already drafted 1st rounders at both positions. So we traded back and got even more value for them.

JJ has done pretty damn good lately. They are getting it down.
OL has been a miss though, maybe they need to get different scouts for them.
