They had Todd Archer on last night and asked him what the Cowboys would thinking about doing in the draft. I will do the best in recapping and someone else saw and can do better, please do.
He said that at 22 if Mike Jenkins CB is there the Boys will take him as he is one of the best CB in the draft and a very good man-to-man defender that is essential in Wade Phillips defense. He quietly ran a 4.38 40 at the Combine and the Cowboys would love to grab him here. At 28 the Cowboys would love to trade for Roy Williams but if not they are looking to trade out of this spot and pick up a 2nd rounder and go after Tracy Porter if Jenikns is not there at 22. He reported that Porte rmay not have the ball skills like Jenkins but can keep up with most receivers in the NFL with his speed and athleticism. It was very quick segment and nothing really new or earth shattering but thought you guys would like to know.
I would not mind getting Jenkins at 22 but I feel that he will be gone before then probably to the Bucs who I heard are high on him. I would not mind getting Porter either in a trade down.
