They know Free can play RT and he was very good at LT. If Smith ends up at LT its only good for us because it means he's even better there than Free is, and Free is pretty damn good.

Having a real offseason and training camp would be crucial for Smith if he were gonna move to LT.

Funny, we tendered him for a 1st and 3rd pick. Last time we did that, we signed Miles Austin to a long term contract.

The is good news. It means this team sees what we see. Doug Free is a good LT, but a great RT. He will get his money. I had to think we viewed Smith as a LT w/ where we drafted him. I like the direction this team is going.

makes me wonder if we might get a guard also, that way we can get rid of davis and his huge contract. This way we don't have 2 rookies on the right side. But I rather smith start on the right get use to the speed and then move to the left. We don't need tony getting smashed, especially since our backs are bad at picking up the blitz or other free rushers.
