Todd Haley-Now THAT'S the way to do it!

If this was posted earlier, please accept my apology.

Man, ya gotta love the way former Cowboys assistant coach Todd Haley handled Anquan Bolden when Bolden started chirping on the sideline about being replaced at the WR position by Steve Breasten. Bolden has been hampered with a hamstring injury that has effected his ability to help the team. Haley, sensing that Bolden was having trouble creating space between himself & Eagles' DBs due to his bad hamstring, felt that Breasten was the better option at the time.

What I loved about it is that, unlike every Cowboys' assistants, who have cowtowed to Terrell Owens' rampages, Haley gave as good as he got. At one point, Haley, responding to some sort of threat by Bolden, could be seen saying, "Go ahead! Go ahead!" That is great stuff. It was like, "I don't care what you do, just get out of my freaking face!! I've got a game to coach!"

If assistant coaches on the Cowboys' staff were given that kind of lattitude, there would be a lot less *****ing by our prima donna WR. I have become very encouraged about rumors that Stephen Jones is working on his dad to drop Owens and get back some of the team chemistry that has been lost. Seems like Stephen has more common sense than his dad, which is also encouraging. It would be fantastic if this organization got to the point where the coaches, instead of the inmates, ran the asylum.

Maybe then, I would feel like this team is getting back to being the class of the NFL.....just maybe.

Alot of this stems from the fact (and this has been reported as well as outright seen) if anyone challenges TO, TO loses respect and does not want to talk to or listen to that person again.

Weak coaches? Probably.

Troubled, petulant man baby? No doubt about it.

And there is only one solution that will make all this stop. Will Jerry make the right decision? Unfortunetly, no, not this year.

A coaching hierarchy must always be maintained over the players. That's kind of hard for some (even players) to accept, but once that line has blurred, you lose order and/or authority within the coaches/players dynamic.

Situations can sometimes get heated on the sidelines and players can allow themselves to become unglued. It may even develop to the point where they lose all composure and begin yelling at coaches.

Isolated instances can be overlooked, but if a pattern develops, it can be something which should not be casually discarded. Also, if sideline disagreements leave the field and travel beyond it, it's a definite red flag prompting the organization to deal with. Coaches coach and players play. Players cannot be allowed to do both at the expense of their coaches.

Boldin was wide-open, after beating the jam, in the third quarter that Kurt Warnber overthrew. If Warner had hit that pass, it most likely would have sealed the deal for any comeback by the Eagles. But he didn't and the Eagles made it a game. The Cardinals then want on 3 drives that were utterly pathetic.

So that makes it alright for him to yell at Warner? Warner is not allowed to miss on any of his passes?

I hear Todd Haley pees with his right hand, and Garrett pees with his left hand. Something to consider.

Haley's not my cup of tea.

I remember Parcells having to give him a forearm to the chest to get his attention during a game a few years ago.

Haley and Wade Phillps both know their stuff.

One is a raving lunatic and the other is a care bear.

Isn't there anything in between?

The mouse in the McDonalds' salad sealed Haley's fate. True or not, he and his wife came across as flakes. Haley's career was dead hear. He needed a change and congrats to him. Just keep his wife and kids away from McDonalds

It was in Seattle. Parcells was complaining about a call and Haley tried to get in on it so Parcells forcefully pushed him out of the way.

No offense but didn't a large majority of the people on these forums absolutely hate Haley while he was here? Now he's a conquering hero or something?
